• Work closely with assigned Lead Teachers in the daily planning and implementing of lesson plans in all subjects. This may involve assisting small groups of students, correcting homework, occasionally leading lessons, preparing materials, and other teaching related duties.
• Responsible for lesson planning and implementation, classroom management and creating an effective team-teaching environment with the other teacher intern.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on students.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Develop and implement teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of unique needs.
• Observe and evaluate students' performance, behaviour, social development, and physical health.
• Monitor Classroom Support Providers to ensure that they adhere to inclusive special education program requirements.
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
• Other duties as required.
