• Ensure technical, economic, environmental and safety aspects in all matters within the area of responsibility are assessed in a business-like manner prior to making decisions or recommendations.
• Ensure that all activities follow Company policies and procedures, hereunder confidentiality, as well as applicable Qatari laws, rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all information, written and verbal obtained in the course of the work is handled in strict confidence.
• Ensure timely preparation, hereunder obtaining approval as applicable and submission of all documentation to meet obligations to authorities and partners.
• Organize and handle general cost control functions within the Engineering & Projects Cost Control Group.
• Ensure all commitments created are supported with agreed proposal/quotation from the vendor.
• Ensure all information in Commitments is correct and old commitments are closed in a timely manner.
• Perform verification of invoices against relevant commitment and agreed terms & conditions.
• Assist Cost Controllers for invoice & commitment issues.
• Responsible for the financial monthly preparation of Accruals, Engineering & Construction Cost Allocation.
• E&P - Brownfield Latest Estimate, Commitment Reports and Cost Control Report.
• Monitoring of actual expenditures versus budget on cost centre basis.
• Checking commitment versus estimate on per job basis with coordination to respective engineers.
• Liaise with the MOQ Finance Department in all E&P financial matters.
• Execute the stock management process in the warehouse with focus on the freshness profile and the optimized stock cover.
• Co-ordinate between the principal warehouse & the warehouse for the UAE market to ensure smooth replenishment process.
• Co-ordinate and lead remedial activities which have a cross functional dimension between Sales & Operations like the co-pack activities.
• Measure effectiveness of processes in operation (KPIs, etc.) and communicate the results across the business.
• Lead the Continuous Improvement Activities in the supply chain by identifying gaps / opportunities for change with business processes to derive business benefits in conjunction with principal (Mars Supply & Deployment team).
• Utilize the skills and experience in working on SAP R.3 (Atlas) system to train the new joiners, offer support to other users in trouble-shooting and also work on improved ways of working on the system.
• Responsible in handling the accounts of the major hypermarkets - Carrefour, Geant & Hyper Panda, and the supermarkets - EMKE group, Spinneys & Choithrams.
• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of the orders of the accounts handled and ensure 97% case-fill on the account.
• Develop a strong customer relation with the accounts handled and work on ways of improving the service levels.
• Liaising with different cargo handling agents to generate cargo for the airlines contracted with DNATA Cargo Partners.
• Market the freight capacity of the contracted airlines within the approved rates and ensure maximum space utilization and cargo-fill.
• Co-ordinate with the agents for the timely delivery of cargo in line with the airline specifications.
• Ensure the cargo is uplifted as per the agreed booking and send an uplift / arrival confirmation to the agent.
A. Singapore Airlines Cargo (on deputation)-
• Liaise with different cargo handling agents to generate cargo to maximize the cargo-fill on every flight / freighters of the airline operating out of UAE.
• Process bookings on the SIA cargo system and obtain booking confirmation on all connecting flights till destination.
• Attend customer queries and complaints on cargo handling / uplift / arrival.
• Compile airline accounting reports to be submitted to the head office.
B. Scandinavian Airlines - SAS Cargo (on deputation)-
• Liaise with different cargo handling agents to generate cargo to maximize the cargo-fill on every flight of the airline operating out of UAE.
• Process bookings on the SAS cargo online booking system and obtain booking confirmation on all connecting flights till destination.
• Attend customer queries and complaints on cargo handling / uplift / arrival.
• Compile airline accounting reports to be submitted to the head office.
• Co-ordinate air /sea shipment nominations from origin to destination
• Ensure the accuracy & timely availability of documents for clearance.
• Update customers with accurate and timely information on the status / arrival of shipments.
• Arrange bookings with shipping lines for containers.
• Ensure optimum space utilization on containers with LCL (Loose Container Load) shipments.
• Handling customs documentation & clearance of import & export shipments - air, sea and land freight.
• Co-ordinate inspection and packing of shipments for export.
• Assist in the warehousing operations for leading sports brand - Adidas.
