Transfer Posting (Non whs. Storage location to whs. HU managed Storage location)
• Packing for an Inbound Delivery: HU’s are created in IBD, Storage units are generated from handling units during transfer order processing,
• The storage unit type is determined from the handling unit’s packaging-material type and can be changed manually during putaway
•Transfer orders for putaway are created with reference to inbound deliveries.
•Distribution of delivery quantities into handling unit items and packing of the inbound delivery items must have been completed in the inbound delivery.
• Enter the HU number: Determines in the background which inbound delivery the handling unit is assigned to the transfer order for putaway, then updates that inbound delivery.
•This function is also supported when nested handling units that refer to several delivery items are involved.
• This type of transfer-order creation lends itself to scanning (using RF), since each handling unit can be processed individually.
• Enter the inbound delivery number: The SAP System determines the handling units that are to be putaway, creates transfer orders, and determines the destination storage bins.
• This type of transfer-order creation is especially useful when process several handling units at once.
• We can enter differences when the transfer order is confirmed.
• A difference confirmation is only possible for the source storage bin, however. This reduces the putaway quantity of the inbound delivery item
•Following confirmation, the quantity is available for use in the destination storage bin. In this case, the storage unit can be moved within the warehouse.
•Goods receipt posting can only occur for the entire inbound delivery
•Putaway after goods receipt posting: After handling units are created in the inbound delivery, goods receipt is posted for the inbound delivery.
•Storage units are created automatically for these handling units. The stock of these storage units is found in the interim storage bin that was determined in the inbound delivery.
•The inventory in these storage units is available for use. Partial picks are possible.
•The goods are only available for picking after the transfer order has been confirmed and goods receipt has been posted.
• Automatic packing allows using packing proposals to create handling units automatically in the background.
