Sr.Service Engineer-Onboard Service Centre (OSC) / Regional Workshop Support (RWS) Incharge for Thrane and Thrane (Telecommunications)

Responsibilities include:
♦ Trained to install and commission Imarsat Xpresslink system using both Intellian 110 and seatel '12 series Vsat's.

• Supervision/ commissioning of installations for NSSL Cruise IP terminals using Seatel Ku band ’09 series Vsat and Sailor Vsat 900
• Commissioning and testing of Globe Wireless Vsat and ifusion systems(using intellian vsat 130/seatel ’09, ’10 series)
• Trained Engineer for the Ericsson Maersk Vsat 900 project
• Manage the Certified Service Centre(CSC)/Regional Workshop(RWS) for Thrane & Thrane(T&T), NERA products.
• Provide on the job training for junior engineers in workshop and onboard a ship.
• Faculty for conducting in-house Thrane & Thrane product training for GMDSS 6000 series and Fleet Broad Band training for new recruits.
• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Inmarsat Satellite terminals used in Marine Satellite communication
Inmarsat equipment include :
• Inmarsat fleet broadband(T&T, Satlink)
• Fleet systems (33, 55, 77)(T&T and Nera)
• Mini-C gmdss (T&T system 5000 and 6000)
• Gmdss (T&T-2000/4000/5000/6000 series)
• Land based explorer systems-Bgans(Explorer 750, 500, 300, 100)

• Carryout Safety Radio Surveys on behalf of classifications like BV, DNV, LloydsR, GL, IRS(Indian Register of Shipping), IRS(International Register of Shipping), NKK, RINA and flag state authorities like PRC(Panama) and Italian .
• Installation of ship e-mail softwares like(HMC mail, Amos connect, Globe Rydex, Skyfile, Globe wireless-GCC)
• Setting up and configuring of ships internal LAN.
• Installation, Maintenance and Repairs of Navigational equipments like :
• Radar Northrop Grumann Sperry(Vision Master FT)
• GPS Trackplotter
• Navtex Receiver
