Managing the entire process of financing from RFP stage until closing, including managing the bidding
process, developing recommendation for the Board of Directors, negotiating financing documents and
managing the execution process
• Managing Etihad’s property finance and general purpose unsecured corporate financing portfolio, raising in
excess of US$ 6.7 billion between 2013 and mid-2017
• Managing the structuring, documentation and execution process of Etihad’s first private capital markets
programs (conventional and Islamic medium-term note programs), including the rating process; issuing
US$1.5 billion of sukuk, the largest-ever sukuk offering from a non-sovereign issuer
• Leading negotiations with ECAs to establish a borrowing program for the financing of non-fleet related capex
and general procurement
• Structuring and executing the first-ever Schuldschein issuance from a Middle Eastern issuer
• Developing Etihad’s medium-term debt funding strategy
• Product experience includes leasing (operating and finance leases), ECA financing, Islamic financing,
commercial debt and capital markets
• Experience in financing passenger and freighter aircraft

Structuring and executing project finance and acquisition finance transactions
• Debt restructuring and corporate finance advisory experience (optimal capital structure)
• Experience in DCM transactions (144 A, Reg. S and PP)
• Transaction management and portfolio management responsibilities
• Financial modelling (valuations, cash flow models, debt capacity calculations, sensitivity analysis)
• Leading role in deal structuring, documentation negotiation and due diligence of projects and investment
opportunities

Consulting projects in restructuring, production efficiency improvement and business strategy projects for
major oil companies in the UAE and Oman
• Member of the Recruitment and the Marketing committees of the firm
• Significant assignments: post-merger integration of two oil refineries in Oman, operational performance
improvement project at a subsidiary of ADNOC in Abu Dhabi, feasibility-stage strategy review of the
expansion plans

Origination and execution of syndicated loans, project finance, acquisition finance and private equity
transactions
• Deal experience in the energy, transportation, petrochemicals and food processing sectors
