Strategic HR Role
• Oversee the implementation of human resource policies, programs and services, including employee relations; employment practices; recruitment and orientation; training and development; retention; legal compliance and procedures; and employee communications.
• Strives to foster a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outlined by Management.
• Assists in the development and implementation of an effective recruitment program. Implements focused recruiting plans to discover potential employee pools and recommends hiring policy and procedures that assures the best results in the hiring process.
Generalist HR Role
• Smooth and accurate processing of the monthly payroll for timely payment to employee ensuring leave and attendance monitoring mechanisms are in place.
• Ensures timely recruitment for vacancies and co-ordinates with PRO for VISA and other formalities
• Conduct performance management activities including performance appraisals, report the findings to the management and ensure that employees receive required feedback from the supervisors and management
• Keeps abreast of all the local labour laws, practices and visa formalities from time to time.
• Oversees and manage the work of reporting Human Resources staff. Encourage the ongoing training and development of employees.
• Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
• Responsible for maintaining healthy work environment and practices
• Establishes employee grievance machinery and in consultation with Legal Officer, conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
• Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations.
• Working closely with various departments, more of a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement company policies and procedures
• Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization
• Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance, health and safety
• Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
• Draft necessary HR related correspondences-memos, letters, certificates etc.
• Conduct performance management activities including performance appraisals, report the findings to the management and ensure that employees receive required feedback from the supervisors and management
• Coordinate the entire recruitment process for new hires including generating offer letters, collecting and verifying official documents in coordination with administrative and accounting staff
• Assisting new employees with general orientation and related matters
• Draft and finalize job descriptions and specifications for various vacancies within the organization as they arise and place job postings through various channels
• Conducting Exit interviews for resigned employees and preparing their final settlement according to prevailing Labour law.

The Devicolam Distilleries Ltd., a subsidiary of Cee Cee Holding, a multi-national company based at the UAE, is one of the oldest distilleries in India and the largest in Kerala with world class ISO 9001:2008 Certified manufacturing facility. I was responsible for the entire HR and IR operations of the factory. Apart from core HR activities, I was looking after major part of general administration and legal affairs of the company. Responsible for time to time monitoring and preparing MIS reports, managing labour and staff, statutory and legal compliance regarding the workforce and the factory. I was reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Overseas Management.
Horizon Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is a leading construction company having annual total project cost about Rs. 100 Crores. I was looking after the HR activities of the total workforce of the organization.
