Contraco W.L.L. established in 1972 with an objective to take part in the State’s infrastructure development.
Within a span of few years the Company grow into a prominent Construction Contractor with Grade - A
Classification. Principal activities are Design and Construction of Buildings, Roads and Infrastructure Works.
Key Projects:
i. Sports Facilities: FIFA Compliant Stadiums such as Lusail Stadium, 4th
Precent (Ras Abu Aboud)
Stadium, 5th
Precent (Al Thumama) Stadium.
ii. Office and Education Institutions: Qatari Diar Headquarter, New College of Education (Qatar
University), Doha Bank, Ministry of Defence Headquarter Project, Education City Future
School, Masraf Al Rayan Headquarter, Qatar Post Head Quarter Building.
iii. Museums: Museography works for Qatar National Museum, Qatar Sports Museum (Khalifa
Stadium)
iv. Transportation: Qatar Rail (Green Line Extension), RIW works for Grater Doha (Phase 6),
Design & Build Cycle track 12Km, Road & Infrastructure development in Al khor and Ain Khalid
v. Army Projects: Design & Build Integrated Training Facilities, Construction of Military Airbase,
Construction of Naval Base
vi. Hospitality: Qetaifan Island Beach Club resort
Responsibilities:
Reporting to Executive Director (Projects) and General Manager
• Heading a team consists of estimators, technical engineer, procurement engineers and
planning engineer.
• Accountable for price estimation, technical documentation and submitting the tender.
• Study the scope of work and prepare the methodology and resources required for the project.
• Review quantity take-off.
• Prepare project cash flows and analyse the effect of advance payment, payment cycle time,
milestones on the working capital requirement.
• Attending presentations and negotiation meetings for the Projects.
• Accountable for the detailed cost estimate (Direct Cost and Indirect Cost) and technical
submittals for the tender.
• Prepare budget for the project.
• Prepare risk and cost review presentation for the management approval and jointly decide
the Project margin.
• Review of the tender technical submission such as methodology, programme, resource
histogram, technical documentations, etc.,
• Post tender clarifications and attending commercial negotiations
• Techno commercial presentation to the Employer
• Prepare budget upon award of the project
Prepare detailed quantity take-off based on the mode of measurement for civil scope of the
Project.
• Prepare subcontractor packages, floating RFQ’s and colleting quotations.
• Prepare comparative statements of subcontractor quotations, negotiate and finalize the
compliant quote.
• Estimate in-house executed works like Concrete, Formwork etc.
• Prepare Project cash flows and detailed indirect cost for the project estimate including staff
cost, construction equipment, site office establishment, site office running cost.
• Vetting and driving the QS agencies for final quantities.
• Preparing technical and cost review presentation.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial bid.
