Buying:
• Building up the range for every season based on trends.
• Product study to decide budget mix
• Collection & Category planning
Costing:
• Finalizing the retail price (RSP) for Kids Wear considering all cost factors, competition mapping & intake margins to ensure planned realized margin & growth is achieved.
• Negotiated prices with all venders to optimize the cost
Planning:
• Stock cover analysis at all product hierarchy and taking decisions about under/overstocking at any store.
• Working with planners for distribution of the products to each territory based on the product profile suitability to the particular territory
• Review the sales reports at the end of every season to get the SWOT done for each season along with the planners
• Closely monitoring sell thru, forward/ spot cover reports, budget/target achievement reports, department/class / subclass/ level sales mix, daily/ weekly sales report’s
• Ensuring on-time launch, sell thru/markdown management to reduce overstocking and allowing freshness on floor.
Merchandising:
• Following up & monitoring approvals on fit / styling/ sample/ lab dip/ trims for each style.
Vendor Management & Development:
• Deciding upon the supplier based considering their core competencies/ past performance.
• Working on the supplier’s capacities for allocating orders
• Order placements
• Developing new source of vendors
Inventory Management:
• Ensuring right merchandise allocation at the right location and at the right time.
• Coordinating and Interfacing between the locations for Inter-location stock transfer if over/under stocking.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Communication with buyer on current trends.
- Costing, Price Negotiation with Vendor
- Getting the requirement from the buyer and communicating the same to the vendor.
- Vendor Sourcing & Analyzing
- Placing orders to suppliers
- Product development.
- Productions follow up.
- Trims & Accessories follow up.
- Handling follow up on orders from time of their inquiry, till their final delivery to the buyers.
- Update Buyer on every week through TAC.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Production planning, scheduling & execution in four factories equipped with 2500 sewing machines.
- Overseeing quality of merchandise of the entire factory, ensuring smooth and efficient working of the entire Fabric to Finishing Department.
- Directing the generation of daily reports; coordinating with Industrial Engineers and advising on critical Check point
- Analysis of bottlenecks, immediate decision making for the same to minimize the idle time across the
- Production cycle maintaining high production efficiency levels
- Handling orders from order cut to pack.
- Maintaining the running production cost within management budget.
- Make line plan for styles.
- Rendering training checkers on particular style checking and end line audits
