Position : Senior Site Architect
Period of Service: April, 2012 to Present
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review the design and related IFC drawings prior to the Project's commencement to verify its consistency and raise any related ambiguities for discussion with the Project Manager.
• Review the Project's Specifications and checks its consistency with the Design.
• Get acquainted with QCS-2010 as part of the specification references.
• Review the Project's Permit Drawings in relation to the IFC drawings.
• Review the submittals (shop drawings, vendors, materials, method statements, proposals, mock-ups, As-built and etc.
• Contribute in reviewing Contractor's QA/QC, HSE plans and reports (daily, weekly and monthly)
• Review and correct any action/s taken and/or written by one of my team as far as necessary.
• Check and evaluate works' mock-ups.
• Liaise with Design Department thru the Project Manager for any design related clarification; in case of design by other firms; addressing queries via RFIs will be applicable.
• Attending Progress and Coordination Meetings as needed upon prior notice from the concerned Project Manager.
• Contribute in reviewing the Contractor's QA/QC plan, especially inspection test plan (ITP) and related check list (ICL) for the different activities before implementation and advise the accurate procedure of installation.
• Inform the Design Department of any modifications when required, for the purpose of proper coordination to avoid unnecessary implications.
• Regularly report to the Project Manager for all issues under my scope.
• Record project issues / problems and remedy actions taken to be used in developing the history of lessons learned from all Projects.
Projects : 1). Lusail V.I.P. Golf Villa Project 2). Phase - 3, Doha City Center Project (Shangri-la, Merweb & Rotana Hotel)
• Coordinating all Site inspections with the Sub-contractors and witnessing and sentencing of all site Inspectors within their disciplines.
• Ensuring that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are the current Status. And assisting Site QC manager to maintain and control of quality system.
• Also ensuring all works is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken and reviews all inspection reports for compliance.
• Assisting the QA/QC manager and construction manager in resolving any discrepancies
And ambiguities.
• Review work procedure and Method statements for compliance with good work practices and the issuance of Nonconformance report in conjunction with the QC Manager.
• Visit site factories and suppliers to ensure quality will be achieved and prepare site factory visit report.
• Review and inspection of materials and suppliers to ensure required standards.
• Preparing Design concepts and space planning for the proposed projects,
• Monitoring of producing Architectural Drawing and detail shop working drawings
• Preparing draft written Materials of Technical specifications and BOQ’s specifying the required quantity of Materials. (Specifying the nature and quality of materials required).
• Project managing and co-coordinating the work of contractors and controlling the project from start to completion.
• Regular site walk visit to check on progress to ensure that the project is running on time and resolving problems and issues that arise during the construction.
• Review the project specifications against Contract specifications.
• Review/Check and Evaluate Contractors shop drawing against the BH approved final drawings. Coordination to Gen. Contractor’s, Site Mngr., Project Mngr. and QA/QC Engr.
• Conduct Inspection on site before they start all Architectural and finishing works like, Block works, Plastering, Stud wall partition, Ceiling works, Floor, Kitchen and Bathrooms
• Conduct spot checking on site activities as per General Specification and Approved Method Statement, and issued NCR for non compliance of work and FIC field instruction to correct their improper fixture or non alignment works.
• Directly report and submit weekly accomplishment repot and site photograph to our Senior Resident Engineer regarding site progress condition even Civil and Architectural works.
• Evaluate and analyze the contractor monthly progress billing, daily and weekly accomplishment report with regards to percentage of works they submit.
• Raise RFI after liaison with RE for clarification of discrepancies and Liaise with
Specialist Contractor and Coordinate the details proposed by each Subcontractor At the
Design interface.
• Supervise preparation of architectural shop drawing as specified in the contract.
• Check and evaluate subcontractor shop drawings against consultant design and DM approved drawings.
• Reports progress of work during design stage & solve problems to ensure completion on time.
• Provide technical advice to MEP team for wall and slab openings.
• Prepare Design concept and Space planning for Commercial and Residential Building according to UAE Building code Regulation.
• Prepare Architectural Plan, Elevations, Sections, and Materials Specification.
• Responsible for design approval to Sharjah Municipality.
• Prepare space planning and Design concepts for commercial and residential Bldg.
• Prepare Landscape Designing for Residential, parks and playground.
• Prepare Interior Design for Residential, Offices, Pharmacy and Department stores
• Freehand Sketching for Interior 3D Perspective and Architectural detailing.
• Prepare Materials Specifications and Inspection on Site Construction.
• Prepare Interior Design for Hospital Main lobby, offices, Department stores, Residential and Shop interior.
• Prepare Materials Specification and Conduct project inspection on site Construction.
• Prepare Furniture design (sofa, wardrobes, dining set, bed & head board, curtain, And Ceiling design using gypsum.
• Prepare Material list and schedule of manpower for the project.
• Prepare design concept and space planning for both Residential & Commercial Bldg.
• Prepare Contract document between Company and client agreement.
• Prepare project Material Specifications, Bill of Quantities and Scope of Works.
• Responsible for securing all permits (e.g. Building permit, Electrical permit, and Sanitary permit, fencing permit) to the Municipality.
• Responsible for Laboratory test (e.g. Concrete sample test, Rebar elasticity test, And Blocks capacity test.) in F. F. Cruz Construction Laboratory test center.
• Conduct project inspection on site construction.

• Project inspector of all Tobishima projects in C.E.P.Z. (Cavite Export Processing Zone) Rosario (Salinas) Cavite City.
• Prepare weekly progress report and coordination to Materials supplier.
• Responsible for securing all permits (e.g. Building permit, Electrical permits, sanitary permits, Temporary electrical permit) inside C.E.P.Z. Office compound.
• Responsible for Laboratory test (Concrete sample test, Rebar's Elasticity test and Blocks capacity
Test) in University of the Phil. Laboratory test center.
