Roles and responsibilities
Assisting the design team in preparation of all design drawings and calculation related to: HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Water Supply, Drainage.
Check and Approve materials/shop drawings/submittals and project closeout documents.
Perform site inspections, testing and handing over procedures along with contractor team.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure that execution as per contract documents.
Issue Filed Instruction, NCRs, Letters, Reply to Contractor queries & RFIs.
Attend Technical meetings and inspection with Client and Authorities.
Coordinate with all parties (MEP, Architectural, Structural, Contracts and Follow-up Dept.).
Attend coordination meetings and weekly progress meeting with Contractor.
Manage and Control variations related to changes that might come as per Client request, Authorities as site conditions requirements.
Ensure that project execution and approved materials are as per contract documents.
Report all cases (variations and modifications) to the management immediately.
Respond to Authorities concerns and comments and do the required amendments.
Complete mechanical engineering estimation related to building construction.

Roles and responsibilities
• Evaluating Tender documents & Coordinating with Civil and Electrical departments.
• Preparing quantity sheets for HVAC, Fire Fighting and plumbing, based on drawings provided by client/consultant.
• Preparation of detailed BOQ based on specification and quantity.
• Preparation of technical documents for the tendering purpose.
• Floating enquires to suppliers and manufactures as per available tender vendor list and following up.
• Floating technical clarifications to client/consultant and suppliers.
• Coordinated with Civil and Electrical Engineers to meet the project specifications and project requirements.
• Preparation of detailed break-up price for Chillers, Chilled water pumps, AHU, FAHU, FCU’s, Ventilation Fans, Fire Fighting Pumps, Water Booster, and Transfer Pumps etc.
• Manual calculation of Heat Load and Preliminary/ tentative designing of Chillers, Chilled water pumps, AHU, FAHU, FCU’s, Ventilation Fans, Fire Fighting Pumps, Water Booster and Transfer Pumps, Chilled Water piping, Duct Designing etc as per standard Codes and regulations for EPC tenders.
• Duct sizing, pipe sizing and selection of various air outlets.
• Finding ventilation requirements as per ASHRAE 62.1-2013
• Checking of ESP calculation for Air Handling Units and Head Loss Calculations for Chilled water Pumps.
• Preliminary designing of Fire Fighting Pump set, Automatic Sprinkler system, Fire Hose reel system and selection of acceptable Fire Suppression systems & Portable Fire extinguishers as per NFPA/ UAE Fire & Life Safety CODE / Local Civil Defense requirement.
• Pricing and Estimating the BOQ based on Quotations including Plumbing and drainage pumps.
• Preparation of Final priced BOQ, tender documents and ensures timely submission of tender documents.
• Preparation of ongoing project variations according to site instructions and submitting to project manager for approval.
