•Handling the activities like equipment forecast, FOB imports, exports, rate negotiation etc. for both Cochin & Mangalore location. Meeting new customers and updating them with our different segments like ZIM, GSL & LNL products and attracting them towards our service.

•Preparing the reports for the weekly sales meeting, reefer booking & forecast report, study of new service and the monthly branch manager meeting report etc. to the commercial team. Updating them with the market information like, Equipment situation of the competitors, New service, rate offers etc. on timely basis

•Utilizing the tools (Power BI, CRM) provided by the company wisely and identifying the potential business of the customers, port pair, NOR/ Tues, BU wise volume etc. This tool help us to give a blue print of the customer, usually we do this is exercise before meeting each customers.

•Following the new rules and regulations instructed by the company, attending the online training programs through the application call ZIM excellence academy.

•Updating the customers with the mandatory requirements at the time of inputting the B/L and also updating the new policy and rules implemented by the company to the customers, which help us to do business with Zero percentage error.

•Overall achieving the quarterly targets assigned to us on each business units from both Mangalore & Cochin location, if any action plan require we will update the commercial desk with the precise business plan with a deadline. Coordinating with the activities of departments like, customers service, operations, Administration, finance, documentation to achieve the organizational goals in a better way.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Maintaining good relationship with the customers by providing value added services such vessel schedule, free days, better transit time, filing rates based on the current market situation, monitoring the onward movement of the shipment and updating the changes if any etc.

•Updating the HMM Trade management team India with the prevailing market situations like new service, market rates offered, general rate increase, free time and other value added service offered by the competitors to the customer, sharing our views on the action plans to be taken to overcome from the competitor’s challenges globally & locally.

•Identifying the grass route of business the Shipper / forwarder is having, whether its import / export business, sector, port, the terms involved in the L C clause and other benefits the shipper required etc. Negotiate with pricing desk and approving the requirements of the shipper / forwarder and attracting them and securing the business through HMM account.

•Maximizing the overall revenue of HMM by bringing imports on FOB terms and also providing the details of the shipper at POL to bring imports on C & F terms to our location. If transit time is not competitive when compared with our competitors; update the IHQ regarding the possibility of utilizing the third party feeders to bring imports with better transit time.
