Supervise mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure quality and timely completion and as per plan
✔ Facilitate RCM studies for all critical system within the terminal facilities in reference to the criticality
assessment or as recommended by root cause analysis
✔ Determine which major systems and components will be maintained on a predictive basis and which will be
maintained on an interval-based PM or run-to-failure basis
✔ Create risk mitigation strategies for critical assets
✔ Participate in facilities condition assessments (or a similar program), resulting in a Facilities Condition Index (or
a comparable metric) to enable the development of project plans and maintenance optimization programs.
✔ Perform maintenance and life cycle costing analysis.
✔ Perform root cause evaluation for underperforming critical systems and failed critical components. Track and
prioritize resolution of these failures.
✔ Evaluate current preventive maintenance (PM) program and transition to more effective, robust PM program.
✔ Identify and implement best practices.
✔ Tracks and utilizes the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in Maintenance at Sabic and benchmarks with others
like SABIC affiliates.
✔ Ensure all the maintenance personnel undertake work complying with procedures and best practices
✔ Prepare maintenance budget and audit-related documents, ensure Shutdown job execution as per schedule
✔ Diagnosing the causes of any malfunctions and following a checklist to ensure that all key work has been done
✔ Establish Maintenance Strategy for various equipment in the plant to increase their uptime & reliability
✔ Implement maintenance schedules and conduct periodic checks to ensure the performance of machinery
✔ Identify the areas of bottlenecks/breakdowns and take steps to rectify through the application of
troubleshooting tools like root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, etc.
✔ Setting overall objectives and targets, working towards maintenance Cost Saving and Continuous Improvement
through maintenance methods
✔ Working on the reduction of MTTR and Improvement of MTBF using tools like Reliability Centered
Maintenance (RCM) and Condition Monitoring
✔ Identify “bad actor” equipment through MTBF tracking and carry out Equipment Criticality Analysis
✔ Verify and ensure all the existing bill of material (BOM) available in the SAP master and make suitable
additions/deletions
✔ Maintain integrity of maintenance SAP data, analysis and costs - by timely and correct data entries and
validations
✔ Conducting periodic audits to evaluate the maintenance personnel and system; provide Training to new joiners
✔ Document & maintain maintenance history of critical machines for future reference
✔ Generate weekly maintenance report and submit to superiors
✔ Ensure all the maintenance personnel are following safety policies and procedures; conduct a periodic risk
assessment to ascertain the level of preparedness to face risk incidents
