Responsibilities:
• Preparing and get Client approval for HSE Plan and Hazard/Risk assessment for all Construction activities including high potential risk and non-routine activities.
• Ensuring that HSE Standards & Procedure are adopted throughout the project and that all activities are fully documented in the project HSE Management Plans.
• Developing and conducting training programs to improve safety performance.
• Investigating and carrying out corrective actions related to safety and environmental issues
• Providing management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001) support, auditing, and ensure that audits are completed on schedule and that resultant action plans are implemented.
• Managing HSE team in the investigation and appraisal of HSE related incidents, facilitate investigations of all accidents and develop remedial actions to reduce HSE risk.
• Preparing weekly / Monthly HSE statistics report, training plan and site inspection reports.
• Designing, coordinating, and implementing emergency preparedness plans, procedures and training/drills.
• Conducting HSE meetings as per Company HSE plan and taking part in Safety Committee meetings, project meetings and highlight and follow up HSE concerns and ensure Contractors comply.
• Tracking and identifying applicable laws & regulations with specific emphasize on Air & Water Quality, Noise and hazardous waste to evaluate the potential impact of these laws on the operations of facilities.
• Actively lead to put in place safety incentives and other safety promotional programs aim to increase the cooperativeness and safety awareness of site workers
• Inspecting workplaces, processes, products or other systems for compliance with established safety and occupational health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards.

Project : OETC117/2015 (9 months)
Modification in existing 3X40MVA Indoor primary substation (132Kv/33Kv)
Replacing existing 40MVA transformer, 33kv panels, 132 kv control relay panel.

Responsibilities:
• Independently monitor and observe ongoing project operations on a daily basis with a focus on conformance to policies and procedures and generally accepted safe working practices.
• Full fill the client HSE requirements, HSE codes of practices and provide the required reports to client on time to time.
• Review and ensure contractors HSE plans and procedures.
• Conducting Safety Briefing for new arrivals and introduce the HSE policy and client safety rules, works site emergency alarms, fire.
• Preparing and updating Job Safety Analysis / risk assessment for routine or non-routine work before they start
• Monitor site / Vehicles movements/tools handling/workers activities etc.
• Conducting initial to final investigation for incident report for LTI, Restricted to work, Medical treatment, and first Aid
• Conducting different kind of emergency drills like, Heat Stroke, fall from high, Fire, electric shock, etc.
• Lifesaving equipment’s onboard or plant installation is properly maintained as directed by the division HSE department
• Close monitoring of installation, commissioning& maintenance activities (Lifting, height works, confined space, hot works, testing, etc.) in different area.
• Monitor the weather status and advice the crews on safety measures.
• Conduct regular work site safety inspections /audit / walk about

Position : HSE Engineer
Project : Covering gas power plant construction and gas plant conversion to combined cycle and gas
plant Renovation at Maputo.
Client : Mozambique Gas Summit LDA.
Location : Maputo, Mozambique

Responsibilities:
• Regular contacts with operations and maintenance personnel to review and follow-up on safe working practices in the Gas Plants and provide advice and assistance as required
• Ensure safety measures in the gas plant during pre-shutdown and post-shut down activities
• Oversees the implementation of the “permit to work” system, covering hot maintenance work and man entry, includes reviewing permits issued by operations personnel, ensuring proper measures are taken prior to commencement of work, such as equipment or plant isolation, shutdown and that necessary tests (such as gas tests) are taken. Ensures all work areas are safe for required work through visits to work sites during dangerous or potentially difficult work.
• Close monitoring of shutdown maintenance activities (Lifting, height works, confined space, hot works, hydro testing, hydro jetting, chemical cleaning process, purging, pigging etc.) in shutdown project premises and correct the unsafe acts/conditions
• Participate and monitor daily toolbox talks, trainings at site
• Preparing and updating Job Safety Analysis / risk assessment for routine or non-routine work before they start.
& satisfactory percentage of oxygen
• Conducting initial to final investigation for incident report for LTI, restricted to work, medical treatment, & first aid
• Participating different kind of emergency drills like, H2S, Hydrocarbon release, Fire. etc
• Conduct regular work site safety inspections /audit / walk about
• Monitor the weather status and advice the crews on safety measures, Monitor radiography at site
• Monitor proper waste management plan at plant premises
• Maintain Lifting Gear Register on assigned rigs.
• Collate all HSE related data and report monthly to HSE Manager.
