• Managing of all project activities within a multi- disciplinary engineering team from the proposal phase until the hand-over to the Client;
•Definition of the overall project’s concept, distribution of the work scope between the relevant sections and coordination of the tasks and activities to be performed on the projects;
•Development and standardization of procedures & methods to improve the efficiency of project engineering services;
•Managing of project work in a way that ensures the safe, timely, efficient and profitable delivery of high quality design meeting all projects requirements;
•Establishing of the project schedule and manpower plan to ensure the work is completed in accordance with the overall project schedule and budget;
•Ensuring that the selected technical solutions are resulting in a safe, operable and cost effective way;
•Ensuring that all spent man-hours are accurately recorded and reported against budget hours;
•Approval of all project documents produced by team;
•Organizing of the regular inter-discipline project review meetings;
•Liaising with Classification Society or/and Regulations Authority to obtain approval of the engineering deliverables;
•Provision of guidance, technical support and on-the-job training to the subordinates and performing of personnel assessments;
•Provision of assistance to maintain Company’s ISO certification as related to engineering design;
•Development of a close working relationship with Clients, Vendors & Sub-contractors;
•Extensive experience in design & stress analysis of the structural constructions, foundations & supports; verification of Longitudinal strength of Vessels; determination of the Hull Girders Bending moment & Shear Force capacity; determination of Trim and Heel, etc.
• Leading and supervising of the Engineering and Design group in all naval and structural aspects as per project requirements;
• Provision of day-to-day guidance to the team as well as developing of the junior staff to help come up with the right decision;
• Assessment of the works for the all structural & naval issues and development of projects from conception & design to final handover;
• Progress monitoring & follow up of assigned jobs against pre-set targets;
• Organization of weekly review meetings with the Client to discuss progress achieved to date and a forecast for the following period;
• Meeting of the timely delivery of the design outputs and consultancy services to the Clients;
• Performing of hydrodynamic analyses, vessel response analysis, intact and damaged stability analysis in MOSES software;
• Structural design and stress analysis of the structural constructions, foundations & supports for different equipment with the aid of software, such as: SACS, STAAD, SESAM GeniE;
• Sea fastening and Grillages design for transportation operations and preparation of transportation layouts;
• Verification of Longitudinal strength of Vessels. Determination of the Hull Girders Bending moment and Shear Force capacity;
• Calculation of Bollard Pull and Towing Bridle;
• Preparation of technical queries, proposals and tenders;
• Offshore and site surveys to define the scope of work required for Vessels & Offshore Structures modifications, repairs and conversions.
• Supervising of the functioning of Structural Design & Drafting teams, team building & organization with optimum resources utilization;
• Preparation of design basis, scantling plans, specifications, needful calculations and method statements for the all structural works;
• Planning, estimation of man-hours and preparation of the job packages for design and drafting works;
• Studying of the scope of works, setting up of the targets as per project schedule and distribution of works to Design and Drafting teams;
• Monitoring of 3D Model preparation and design /detail drawings all structural components of the Hull including Outfits;
• Determination of Trim and Heel and preparation of Ballast Plans;
• Preparation of studies and designs for Jackets launching;
• Preparation of methodology for Lifting, Erection and Assembly of
Jackets, Top sides and other structures;
• Estimation works related to Bids for New Build Rigs and Offshore
Structures (Material Take-Off’s, RFQ’s, etc.);
• Site surveying, handling of queries from Production Operations
Department, trouble shooting and resolution of the problems;
• Co-ordination with Clients, Vendors, Inspection Agencies, Classification Societies & Production Operations Department;
• Checking and review of the engineering drawings with respect to actual fabrication/erection works;
• Proposal and recommendation of alterations or revisions needed for fields whenever necessary;
• Preparation and submitting of weekly/monthly progress reports;
• Assessment of the fabrication method, procedure, defects and recommendations for improvements & problem solving;
• Preparation of layouts, sketches and calculations for guidelines to simplify the fabrication & assembly of the steel structure;
• Distribution of appropriate manhours budget on the every of the work;
• Preparation of Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis.
• 3D modeling of the all structural constructions for New Building projects, Ship’s Conversions and Ship’s Refurbishments;
• Development of the project’s Building Strategy;
• Producing of the construction and shop drawings;
• Preparation of the Bill of Materials and weight calculations;
• Determination of the panel’s / block’s Center of Gravity and preparation of the lifting arrangement drawings;
• Preparation of the Weld map and Weld traceability;
• Producing of the ‘As Built’ drawings after project’s delivery;
• Assistance of Class Surveyors during construction’s inspection at site, resolution of the fabrication’s troubles.
• Development of design documentation for fabrication of Hull constructions for various Vessels and Offshore structures;
• Technical review of client’s documentation and preparation of
Scantling plans & General Arrangement drawings;
• Calculation of strength for different structural constructions;
• Buckling calculations;
• Determination of displacement for different loading conditions;
• Stability analysis;
• Producing of Hull structural drawings (decks, sides, frames, bulkheads, superstructures);
• Conceptual and detail design for Outfitting constructions (platforms, foundations, ladders, staircases, handrails, etc.).
