• Maintaining and updating the legal, environmental, land, financial, technical and economic development project files for Owner
• Project coordination of all tender submissions
• Prepare recommendation reports for consideration of Management Bid/ Tender Preparation
• Assist in the negotiation with counter-parties of key project documentation including Limestone Supply Agreement, Project Permitting
• Assist with permitting (including review of Environmental Impact Assessment and its associated specialist studies, and Water Use Licenses)
• Liaising with internal departments (including Legal, Acquisitions and Project Finance) and external parties (including Government departments, EPC contractors, development/equity partners, Advisors) for the purposes of achieving financial close
• Assist in developing and maintaining professional relationships with governmental agencies, project partners and others to ensure timely response to company requirements and smooth flow of the business
• Assist in budget determination with respect to meeting Economic Development Obligations as set out by the Department of Energy for the full tenure of each project from the construction phase up until the commissioning phase
• Reviewing of Economic Development (Supplier Development, Socio-Economic Development and Skills Development) Plans to assist with determining budget needs and allocation specific to each project
• Record and maintenance of communications with contractor
• Liaising with Acquisitions and Project Finance team to incorporate all the relevant costs of the project relating specifically to limestone and Economic Development Spend into the financial model
• Seeking on documentation and replies from the technical team
• Regular and timely reporting on all matters relating to the documents on the project
• Be a team member within the Project Company Management Team
• Heading up the procurement of 30 year supply of Limestone for a 306 MW(net) Coal-Fired Power Plant Project in Mpumalanga, South Africa
• Assist with Bid Building for the Renewable Energy Independent Power Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) established by the Department of Energy
• Undertake background research, document search and data collection
• Collaborate closely at all stages of the bid management process with the Bid Director or other members of the programme administration team as required
• Assist in reviewing and signing off proposals and other tender documents
• Oversee proposal document production and dispatch to meet the delivery
• Assisting the in-house Economic Development Manager in the determination as well as final preparations of bid ready and complaint Economic Development Proposal for submission under the REIPPPP.
• Heading the Grants and Incentive Portfolio: finding alternative sources of funding renewable energy and new technology projects on a local and global spectrum
