Job description
A ) Pre-Bid Projects (Design and Bill Projects):
- Preparing all necessary studies for the design of the electrical scope needed for the project.
- Taking in consideration, the conformity required between the Client requirements and the corresponding electrical international and local specifications and standards in order to state the base specs to follow in the design of all required electrical scopes.
- Starting the preliminary electrical design process and comparing it with the client requirement and project circumstances as well.
- Preparing all the needed design drawings for electrical scope in the project as :
* High Voltage electrical system (GIS, Gantries, Overhead transmission lines, Power transformers, H.V cables calculations and selection).
* Medium Voltage system (Medium voltage Switchgears, Unit or Compact Substations, RMU, Transformers capacities, M.V cables calculations, and selection).
* Low Voltage System ( Main, sub main and branch Panel boards, MCCB breakers Selections , Load Calculations using programs as Ecodial 4.00, Schneider voltage drop calculations) in order To achieve required right discriminations process for the whole electrical system.
* Design all indoor electrical power requirement as Power sockets, switches, Disconnecting switches lighting system as per Lighting design calculations following international program as (DIAlux).
* Low Current ( I&C) Systems Design as per project requirements, contacting local and international L.C systems Manufacturers and Suppliers for ( Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and Physical security, BMS and SCADA System, MATV System, Public address and evacuation system, Audio visual system ……etc ).
B) Estimations (Estimation & Bidding Tasks):
- Handling all the necessary estimation needed for electrical and I&C Items available in Tender documents; ( Low, Medium, High Voltage items, in addition to all Low Current Systems, ETC…)
- Preparing all the necessary RFQ’s of the corresponding electrical items and sending them to Suppliers in the same scope.
- Preparing the necessary estimation for the Total Direct cost of those items taking in consideration Manpower and Equipment’s estimations for the items in addition to calculations of the indirect cost needed.
- Dealing with many kinds of available projects: Constructions Projects, Infrastructure Projects, Road Projects and Water transmission Lines Projects.
- Ability of dealing with Estimations Software ( Chief Estimator 2016)

Job description
• My role is doing the following:-
- Preparing, coordinating necessary pre- electrical works in the beginning of the project.
- Prepare and design electrical shop drawings needed for the project.
- Preparing, revise and submitting all the technical submittal for all electrical materials will be used in the project ( All power electrical systems, panel boards load schedules and it's all related calculations as voltage drop, cables cross sections calculations, short circuit calculations using ecodial v.4.00, interior and exterior lighting and its related lux density calculations using dialux program, disconnecting switches and all wiring devises selections as per the project specs, designing earthing, grounding and lightning protection system ( the design should follow global specifications regarding the value of the acceptable earth resistance), All low current systems as fire alarm, matv, telephone and data, ip cctv and security systems.
- Coordinating with the consultant and the owner for obtaining the needed electrical material approvals
Procurement Supervision Process
A) starting from communication with All the Corresponding suppliers for all the electrical items,
B) Revising both technical and commercial offers as per tender and client design, asking suppliers for modifications if necessary
C) Price negotiations, after checking all technical Submittals and rectifying consultant or client remarks if any.
D) Preparing the necessary Purchase Order or The Contract, which should covers all the purchase process (terms and conditions, Quantities, delivery, Payment methods, Warranty and penalties…)
E) Checking the materials before delivery to the site, making sure that it meets all the contractual terms.
F) Preparing all the necessary inspection reports and documents for Procurement plan needed and compare it with approved time schedule for the project.
G) Getting approval for RFI (Request for inspection) from the owner representative at site, rectifying whatever necessary remarks.
- Supervising electrical works situation in the site, comparing its status regarding the approved time schedule from the owner.
- Supervising and following up the electrical works done by subcontractors and their achievements status regarding the contract done with them.
- Preparing of the necessary letters to the owner and the consultant in the beginning and during the project period.
- Preparing the necessary variation orders if needed during the project.
- Preparing and revise the entire monthly invoices which will be submitted to the consultant and the owner.
- Preparing and revise all the electrical as built drawings in the end of the project.
- Handing over all the electrical works to the consultant and the owner, avoiding any remarks if available.
- Working as a part of tendering and bidding team for all handled projects.
