 Develops a data collection monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system, including kpiS, impact indicators, monitoring and evaluation tools and formats, and reporting procedures and formats
 Works with program staff to develop a specific monitoring and evaluation plan for all existing programs and for all new programs
 Ensures that all partners understand and follow ROTA’s monitoring, evaluation, and reporting guidelines
 Assists program and technical support staff in new program development, ensuring that all program proposals include clear goals, objectives, outputs, indicators and targets as well as plans and sufficient budget for monitoring and evaluation. Participates in assessments for new programs, as needed
 Trains and builds the capacity of staff and partners to make use of monitoring and evaluation tools and, in particular, to implement the M&E system
 Visits field programs regularly to ensure that M&E procedures are being carried out in accordance with plans, to provide additional monitoring support, and to conduct evaluations, as needed
 Ensures that all internal and external program reports meet established standards and accurately reflect the activities and impact of ROTA’s programs
 Works with ROTA’s fundraising, communications, and marketing teams to ensure that the data and stories gathered from ROTA’s programs meet the needs of these departments to explain ROTA’s work to people outside of the organization


a) Contribute towards the preparation of the Situation Analysis by compiling data, analyzing and evaluating information, and writing chapters of the Analysis.

b) Design, prepare, implement, monitor and evaluate assigned programme or specific project(s). Prepare annual workplans and monitor their progress. Analyze and evaluate data to ensure achievement of objectives and/or take corrective action when necessary to meet programme/project objectives.

c) Provide technical support and guidance to the government counterparts for establishing information /data base system at national sub-national and sectroal level to help monitor and assess the country programme performance and MDGs.

d) Undertake field visits to monitor programmes, as well as conduct periodic programme reviews with government counterparts and other partners. Propose and/or undertake action on operational procedures affecting project implementation and management. Provide technical advice and assistance to government officials and other partners in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programme/projects.

e) Participate in the preparation of the country programme of cooperation specifically CCA, UNDAF, CPD, CPAP and AWPs, and ensure compliance to specific assigned objectives.

f) Assist Government counterparts and partners to plan and organize training programmes. Identify training needs for the purpose of capacity building and sustainability of programme/projects.

.Assist Ministry of Health (MOH) in improving routine M&E by focusing on:
g) Development of strategy to improve HIV/AIDS M & E, especially as it relates to
h) the health sector’s response to HIV/AIDS
i) Development of guidelines, manuals and reporting tools
j) Training of staff on recording and reporting
k) Identifying capacity building needs for the responsible unit/s in the MOH and proposing actions to address them

2. Serve as focal person for GF reporting in the area for which WHO is a sub recipient
a) ensure that draft reports & supporting documents are received from MOH &
b) other partners within agreed timeframe
c) prepare financial report for inclusion in regular GF report
d) prepare final draft of regular GF report to be approved by WHO representative

3. conduct supportive supervision visits, on site data verification & data quality assurance audits

4. Provide regular feedback to the team on implementation of planned activities

5. Prepare team’s regular report to WR & EMRO

1. Planning, monitoring & evaluation of projects implementing, .
2. Coordinates, facilitates &/or participates in joint projects between NPPB & WHO &NGOs.
3. Writing project proposals, biennium & reports.
4. Establish a persistent & appreciative relationship with all program’s partners (governmental, WHO, NGOs & CBOs)
5. Preparation & presentation of program briefs & reports to the program’s partners visiting from outside Sudan.
6. Preparation & implementation of all WSD celebration in Sudan in collaboration with WHO.
