Managing Environment operations for the refurbishment and start up of Prince Albert Pulp Inc.
• Manage team of consultants through the Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for PAPI restart project, ministerial approval successfully obtained in May 2023.
• Manage site environmental projects for groundwater monitoring, erosion control, effluent discharge, waste management, remediation and other environmental aspects.
• Manage environmental legacy cleanup projects resulting from historical operations.
• liaison with Federal and Provincial authorities to address and resolve environmental issues collaboratively.
• Ensure the timely acquisition of required environmental permits, including negotiating acceptable permit conditions.
• Manage the budget of environmental monitoring projects.
• Support environmental teams in other Paper Excellence mills, provide strategic approach for the implementation and enhancement of environmental performance.
• Collaborate with other managers to ensure the adoption of best practices and consistency in compliance with environmental policies, processes, and procedures.
• Engage with local community, indigenous groups, city officials and other parties in presenting the PAPI restart project.
• Conduct annual reviews of environmental programs and oversee the development of new initiatives.
• Ensure efficient deployment of environmental inspections.
Managing HSE aspects for final phases of construction, commissioning and startup of the facility to commercial production, that includes:
• Development of company HSE Management System and programs.
• Identify HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and tracking tools to completion.
• Providing strategic leadership on the implementation, and enhancement of HSE performance.
• Management of annual HSE budget.
• Management of contractors and Sub-contractors HSE aspects.
• Supporting all departments in implementation of respective HSE processes, training and plans.
• Lead and audit programs that ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct annual review of EHS programs and manage programs development.
• Design and deliver HSE training and education programs.
• Audit contractors HSE programs to ensure they meet or exceed company minimum requirements.
• Develop Risk Management programs, ensure risk assessment is carried out through all activities.
• Promote positive safety culture in workplace.
• Develop programs that ensures engagement of workforce at large in EHS initiatives.

• Set HSE goals and strategic objectives for RJ Group of companies and subsidiaries.
• Develop and lead implementation of the HSEMS.
• Review and approve HSE bridging documents with contractors and clients to ensure consistency in standards and procedures.
• Manage and control HSE budget for the group and for each company.
• Work with teams of professionals to develop a comprehensive hazard assessment and risk management protocols, providing mitigation solutions for normal and abnormal operations.
• Approve HSE development programs for diferent business units.
• Set HSE performance indicators (KPI) and ensure each company of RJ Group meets or exceeds its targets, (2018/2019 goals 96% achieved across all companies).
• Ensure all business units comply with applicable federal, state and provincial regulations across Canada and USA.
• Provide HSE leadership to executive team, engage senior managers in HSE programs to promote safety culture widely across RJ Group.
• Conduct periodic review of HSE Policies, Strategies, and objectives, ensuring HSE is considered within all business aspects and processes.

Venture, 5 operating sites and a Marine shipping terminal - Libya
• Worked with a team of professionals from Suncor head ofice, Petro-Canada NANE group and other consultants to lead the development of Petro-Canada Total Loss Management (TLM) to meet HSE MS international standards.
• Leading role with senior management to set Harouge to Environmental KPIs, strategic objectives and EMS toll out program under an integrated HSEMS project.
• Developed Waste Management plans, standards and site specific procedures.
• Developed JV ESIA standard procedures.
• Handled remediation of large scale contaminated areas including legacy site (35 sites).
• Developed Environmental Emergency Response Plans (Oil spill and Chemical contamination) including marine pollution Tier 1.
• Managed contractor's performance for environmental projects, coordinated and conducted environmental audits when necessary.
• Handled gas utilization project for two work sites, water treatment and re injection unit.
