- contributing in digging one of the most difficult wells in the Middle East located in the Mediterranean sea (offshore) high pressure (7000m depth) and high temperature
•Customs & Logistics Support role with primary responsibility in the coordination of all goods from point of acceptance / delivery to BGE’s final destination point. This includes all transportation modes and Customs procedures including delivery services. Responsibility includes exports and / or returns from BGE to final destinations. Function related interface with EGAS & EGPC counterparts.
•For import and export shipments through, work closely with Contractors and freight forwarder: accepting shipping documentation for review and acceptance (insuring accuracy and compliance to Egyptian Customs procedures and laws).
•Maintain transportation log that lists all inbound / outbound shipments with reference to mode of transport, purchase order / contact number, work authorization references to freight forwarder and customs broker, quantity, weight, volume, value of shipment, description of goods, clearance date and date of delivery to BGE
•Monitor all aspects of shipments in process (as handled by freight forwarder or customs broker) with special emphasis on critical shipments to meet Well Engineering delivery deadlines
•With in-country purchases and / or upon customs clearance of shipments, coordinate and arrange delivery of goods to BGE’s POD. This includes close cooperation and coordination with the customs broker, transportation company and company receiving points
•Provide updates and status of shipments as requested by the Drilling Team
•For export shipments, provide import documents to the freight forwarder and the customs broker.
•Manage customs clearance & transportation activities for both North & South Locations.
•Coordination with different governmental authorities (i.e.: customs; Ministry of Petroleum) and EGPC, E-Gas & Ganope El Wadi and keeping a good relations with all parties.
•Provides logistical support for all departments.
•Coordinates with other departments; tracks and keeps record of shipping; scheduling transportation activities as per priorities
•Coordinates and controls the cycle of transportation meeting productivity and cost cutting goals.
•Identifies logistical problems and provide optimum solutions.
•Responsible for ensuring that the imports and exports of a company are in compliance with governmental and international regulatory laws and in compliance with EGPC regulations.
•Prepares custom declarations for all company’s and contractors shipments with related supporting documents.
•Track all shipments till safe arrival to final destination on the required time and condition.
•Responsible for Custom declaration settlements for all company’s contractors after contract expiry or termination ensuring that all imported materials under Dana Gas umbrella either being used, re-exported or transferring the materials under the umbrella of other sister company.
•Coordination with suppliers and contractors during the customs & Logistics cycle.
•Review customs & logistics invoices and ensure compliance with contract.
•Maintains the customs & logistics database and filling system.
