• Duties included supervising finishing works and the site activities as a consultant engineer and discussing options to resolve any issues or problems arising on site; inspecting works done on site by contractors to ensure complying with approved drawings and specifications; revising and inspecting materials on site according to previously approved submittals; preparing periodicity progress reports and any needed reports and also revising labor reports provided by main contractors; revising and approving the As-Built drawings and helping in ensuring the final surveys needed on site; preparing the required snag lists and notes for site handovers and supervising finalizing notes as well as in any NCRs or SIs forms.
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
- Break projects into doable actions and set time-frames.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
- Help prepare budgets.
- Analyze risks and opportunities.
- Oversee project procurement management.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers.
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures.
- Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement).
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
- Study conditions of contract, scope of work and schedule of completion, review overall project plan, engineering submital plan and provide inputs to planning.
- Ensure all drawings and engineering submital are prepared as per contract and submital log.
- Identify changes to the contract and appraise Project Manager with possible variations & claims
- Provide inputs to Procurement for procurement of material and finalization of subcontractors in time. If required, float enquiries, follow up with vendors and sub-contractors, obtain quotes, prepare comparisons and finalize vendors.
- Coordinate with Authorities and Consultants for receiving approvals.
- Ensure daily & weekly site construction / progress reports are prepared & submitted to concerned entities.
- Provide support for preparation of close out documentation.
- Evaluate the Tender Documents both technically and commercially for the review with management and facilitate decision to quote or not to quote.
- Independently handle Estimation of the MEP works and report to Business Development Manager /Operations Manager for your day to day activities.
- Manage and/or carry out Quantity Take-off.
- Ensure that the Quality, Health, Safety & Environment related requirements are understood and incorporated in the proposal.
- Send quotation inquiries to suppliers and specialist Sub-contractors, etc. to receive competitive quotations from them for inclusion in the bid.
- Send queries to prospective Clients for any clarification, omission or ambiguity in the tender documents.
- Update bid & price databases for future reference and maintain all records related to submitted bid.
- In case of award of the project, prepare handing over documents for the project execution team.
Duties included acting as a main contractor engineer by supervising day-to-day construction site activities and responsible for works progress according to drawings, specifications and plans and giving the technical advices for sub-contractors and labors working on site, reporting to the project managers with the progress and labors activities and addressing any problems arising on site.
