1) Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into building designs.
2) Develop plans and specifications for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical distribution, and plumbing systems.
3) Oversee the implementation of MEP systems during construction or renovation projects.
4) Monitor progress, budgets, and timelines for MEP components.
5) Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
6) Supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
7) Ensure that systems are properly installed, calibrated, and tested for efficiency and safety.
8) Develop and implement maintenance programs to keep MEP systems functioning optimally.
9) Respond to system malfunctions or breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs.
10) Ensure that all MEP systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
11) Address safety concerns and hazards associated with these systems.
12) Develop and implement emergency response plans for MEP system failures, such as Fire Alarms, power outages or plumbing leaks.
