Working as an Electrical Substation Design Engineer in NEPCON Pakistan I was able to
perform:
1. Conduct design evaluations of complete electrical power
systems, spanning from 500 kV to LV, ensuring compliance with
relevant codes and standards.
2. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to
understand project requirements, provide technical support, and
ensure seamless project execution.
3. Utilize hands-on exposure and expertise in analysis tools,
including ETAP, PSCAD, PSS/E, SKM, EMTP-RV, and DIgSILENT, to
perform power system studies and assessments.
4. Perform a range of power system studies using ETAP, including
Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Analysis, Motor Starting
Analysis (static & dynamic), Relay Coordination, Arc Flash
Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, and Transient Stability.
5. Engage in detailed engineering tasks, including Load List
Preparation, Single Line Diagram (SLD) Preparation, Transformer
and Generator size selection, Bus Bar Sizing, CT/VT Calculations,
Cable selection, Voltage Drop Calculation, Earthing Calculation,
and Bill of Materials (BOM) Preparation.
6. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards such as
ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NFPA and IEC
7. Prepare detailed Power System Studies reports, providing
recommendations for electrical safety and reliable performance
