Working on the project of “Upgrading agricultural waste via catalytic conversion of biomass to oxygenated fuels”. My job scope includes:
• Perform Risk Assessment associated with the experiments.
• Catalyst synthesis and characterization.
• Biomass treatment for conversion into valuable fuel products.
• Setting up reaction testing rigs and select operating parameters.
• Calibration of flowmeters, Pumps and Control valves
To prepare Solid Acid Catalyst for selective synthesis of Linear Alkyl Benzene. My work scope includes catalyst synthesis, evaluation and make improvements where necessary.
I have been working as Shift Engineer at Utilities unit of Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Ltd. My job responsibilities included water treatment, steam and power generation, cooling water treatment and supply, potable water treatment and to ensure conformance with ISO 9001/14001 and OSHAS 18001.
To ensure smooth & reliable operation of "UTILITIES UNIT", including:
. Steam generation from two auxiliary boilers each having a Maximum Continuous rating of 110 T/hr.
. Power generation from two steam Turbines (8 MWatt each).
. Water Treatment by Ion-Exchange method.
. Cooling tower.
. Instrument air plant
. Waste water treatment plant.
. Fire water network system.
Internship at UTILITY UNIT of Dawood Hercules Chemicals Ltd.
The job included operation and maintainence of :

A plant design thesis on Production of Ethylene from Naphtha using steam cracking.
