Detailed review and quality check of the geospatial data related to hydrology, hydrogeology and other components of water, available within the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Geospatial alignment of water data with the Portal of the Ministry. Analysis and review of studies carried out related to the management of water resources by MEWA. Participating in the drafting of International Best Practices (IBP) report, component for water. The results of IBP will be aligned with the Ministry’s capacity in terms of water resources. Analysis of hydrological and hydrogeological data sets (Geospatial i.e., ground water well’s locations, ground water depths, streams data, flowmeters on irrigation channels, water supply network etc.) of different organizations operating within the Saudi Arabia. Consultation with water sector stakeholders operating within the Kingdom during the detailed workshops. Stakeholders’ capacity and scope of work is assessed for the future requirements in terms of geospatial datasets and software for water sector. Close interaction with all Technical Experts for the Development of Geospatial strategy report for MEWA with specific focus on water component.
