Develop, execute and revise investment strategies accordingly to macro and micro market changes
o Use global benchmarks to establish best practice and operating models for real estate department and functions
o Conduct asset/fund manager due diligence for direct and co-investment opportunities

• Buildout of multibillion-dollar institutional quality international real estate and infrastructure portfolio (USA & Europe)

o Act as a company subject matter expert and external spokesperson on real estate
o Develop and execute the asset and portfolio management strategies to optimize the performance and value creation of the real estate portfolio
o Develop close collaborative relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
o Establish and maintain necessary systems, metrics and standards that represent a state-of-the-art approach to managing an institutional quality portfolio of diverse impact oriented real estate assets
o Generate quarterly real estate portfolio quantitative and qualitative reporting and ensure timely and accurate tracking of performance for operating and development projects
o Strategic review of corporate structure and asset-specific holding structures for ongoing optimization as well as consistent structuring on new transactions.
o Develop project development plans for complex real estate projects using extensive real estate research, financial modeling, budgeting and design modeling and value engineering
o Review and monitor market trends and pivot strategies when needed
o Oversee and manage multiple external parties (lawyers, accountants, tax and commercial advisors etc.) and build new relationships with advisors / partners to help with deal sourcing
o Develop and maintain relationships with real estate institutions, brokers, developers, service providers and banking community
o Lead the preparation of investment reports and communicating the rationale for investing in the identified target to the investment committee together with a balanced view of the risks, opportunities and potential returns
o Conduct due diligence on an opportunity, sector, and country. Manage third party due diligence advisors, arrange meetings with various stake-holders
o Completed off-market acquisition of $50M class ‘A’ multi-family asset in Atlanta, GA USA delivering 6.5% yield and 8% IRR
o Supervise and coach junior members of the team.

• Originate, evaluate and execute real estate and real-estate-related investments across the US on behalf of SEDCO Capital and third-party clients
o Reporting directly to the Managing Director, International Real Estate
o Leadership role of the execution and performance of US portfolio

• Solely responsible for the management of Canada Pension Plan Investment Boards (CPPIB) retail portfolio
o Reporting directly to Executive Vice President
o Managed real estate portfolio consisting of enclosed malls, power centers and grocery-anchored centers for fully-integrated commercial real estate investment management company.
o Contributed to meeting asset performance targets by identifying operational gaps and opportunities between current and expected performance; provided guidance and recommendation for optimization
o Analyzed and monitored financial performance of assets to develop and implement action plans and value-add investments to achieve the highest possible returns
o Contributed to improved performance planning and optimization of assets by developing and updating the real estate investment strategy for pension funds; sourcing evaluating and making investment recommendations and selections
o After exceeding return expectations, led the disposition of the entire portfolio in Dec/13 for $2.1B USD achieving a portfolio IRR of 12%
