Reporting to Finance Director, primary role is to oversee the strategy and performance of the invoicing & credit control functions, ensuring active collections techniques & minimal bad debt exposure. A part of the job also involves dealing with fuel suppliers on commercial aspects:

 Successfully set-up standard collection system to monitor collection performance.
 Introduced collection monitoring techniques like matrix, due date, aging and cycles.
 Interacted and negotiated with high net worth customers with old outstanding, enabled timely collection avoiding bad debts.
 Successfully set-up Credit Control Dashboard. Introduced techniques for its analysis and review.
 Formulated policies on credit approvals and writing-off bad debts.

1. Credit Control Supervisor (April 2012 to February 2013)

Promoted to lead credit department of the company, handling escalated emails/calls and providing daily management of credit and collections operations:
? Managed a team of six staff to ensure all due amounts are collected as per agreed credit terms.
? Prepared collection forecast and compared with actual collections.
? Coordinated with internal parties to investigate and resolve customer issues obstructing collection.
? Managed relationship with collection agencies in recovery process.
? Developed relationship with high profile clients and engaged in direct collection of receivables.
? Cultivated a high performance service culture within the team through regular coaching, feedback and training.
? Assessed clients risk, identified non-paying accounts and coordinated with legal team for legal collection.

2. Accounting Supervisor - Fuel (January 2011 to April 2012)
Promoted to lead and streamline the processes and procedures of Fuel Accounts department, while still managing high balance accounts receivables.
? Reduced billing cycle to 2 days from earlier average of 5 days
? Introduced the use of invoice log to keep updated information regarding all invoices receipt/billed or disputed. Reviewing weekly for progress.
? Developed good relationship with major fuel suppliers. Successfully negotiated contracts with several suppliers and moved the account to credit from prepayment.
? Forecasted and scheduled regular payments based on priority and cash inflows.
? Supported and managed a team of three staff in order to build effective and efficient fuel department.

3. Senior Collection Officer (January 2009 to December 2010)
Reporting to Finance Manager, the role was to manage credit and collections functions to facilitate high level of cash inflows and minimize level of overdue receivable and bad debts. Key tasks were:
? Identifying list of accounts to be followed daily based on priority queue and no activity report.
? Monitoring weekly aging analysis and planning follow-up activities to reduce delinquency level.
? Ensuring invoices are dispatched to customers on same date issued or maximum next day with all supporting documents.
? Ensuring client's queries on invoices are dealt in timely manner to enable soonest resolution.
? Reviewing the progress report on pending issues weekly and taking corrective actions as per requirements. Highlighting major issues to management.
? Ensuring receipt from customers is allocated against right invoices on daily basis to provide clear outstanding Statement of Account.
? Training new hires.

„X Achieved forward flow of just 4% of the opening stock for country Salary Transfer Loan in the very first month. Again the best ever number, was congratulated by manager for setting a new benchmark.
