Supply Chain Finalization: Finalization of Supply Chain for New products Activities includes: 1. Make vs Buy decision 2. Supply
chain design, presentation to management and approval of same 3. Finalization of tool suppliers 4. Finalization of RM
Suppliers
New Supplier identification and Evaluation Activities includes: 1. Identification of new suppliers through exhibitions, online
and through industry acquaintances 2. Supplier visits and understanding supplier expectations 3. Suppliers visit and evaluation
for Financial, Quality, Capacity, Safety, and other parameters 4. Identification of improvements and plan for closure
Technical and commercial finalization & execution of tooling: 1. Identification of probable and most suitable suppliers for the
Project. 2. Taking quotations from multiple suppliers with the RM, Process, and trial breakup. 3. Review of quotes and
corrections based on current market trends. 4. Comparison of quotes and finalization of the supplier. 5. Detailed design
review with supplier for quality, quantity, serviceability, and ease of use. 6. Sharing of LOI with supplier for tool initialization
and sign-off. 7. Prepare a detailed Gnatt chart for tool development and sign-off with the tool maker. 8. Review tool post
development and clearance for payment. 9. Tool validation along with manufacturing/quality and handover.
Commercial Finalization for Product: Parts and Product Costing, Negotiations and Approval 1. Identification of supplier for the
part manufacturing. 2. Receipt and review detail quotes from suppliers. 3. Final negotiations based on the project
requirement 4. Handover process for new product to strategic sourcing.
Leading in System setup for Product: ERP system Development Support for New Product 1. Leading the team of PE, Design,
Marketing, Planner and Systems team for ERP setup of new products. 2. Reviewing the progress of the setup & verify the
correctness. 3. Product costing and Validation of its correctness. 4. Project handover to Plant team based on approval of
systems team.
Execution of Samples and Pilot lot: 1. Plan and finalize the production system in plant and supplier factory. 2. Setting of
Manufacturing process at Factory and Supplier. Approving the Product for OK to Production
Product Documentation and Handover to Execution Team 1. Review and approve Quality documents like control plans,
product development plans, product quality plans, Tool validation reports. 2. Review and approve product & part costings 3.
Finalize product capacity plans in plant and supplier. Sign-off with supplier and plant for capacity.
