The chiller plant is a support service branch of the utilities operations, whose primary function is to supply chilled water to all expansion coil air handling units inside area.The system is composed of six(6) york oms turbomaster units centrifugal liquid chiller.Each unit is rated at 3, 600 tons of refrigeration and it is capable of chilling 4, 800 gallons per minute of water from 60 degress to 45 degress fahrenheit using R-22( CHCIF2, MONOCHLORODIFLOUROMETHANE) as its cooling medium.............
DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS CHILLER SUPERVISOR
• Monitor the operation of SIX YORK OM TURBOMASTER CENTRIFUGAL LIQUID CHILLER UNITS RATED 3, 600 TONS Per chiller.
• Following specific standard operation procedures responsible to perform sequence of instruction, logging of operation data such as temperature, pressure and power consumption using standard checklist.
• Observe operation of chiller and related equipments perform of control in accordance with load demand and report abnormalities for immediately correction and repair.
• Using the furnished operation log sheet, responsible to compute hourly tons of refrigeration production and kilowatt hour consumption
• Forward to superintendent and division chief for monthly and yearly report consumption water, kilowatt, tons of refrigeration, irrigation water, and power checklist.
• Observe operation of chiller and related equipments perform adjustment of control in accordance with load demand and report abnormalities for immediately correction and repair.
• Using the furnished operation log sheet responsible to compute 24 hours tons of refrigeration production and kilowatt 24 consumption.
• Perform simple maintenance such as oiling of compressor and speed increase of chiller .
• starting and shutdown of (5) unit of cooling tower, (8) primary chilled water pumps, (4) air compressor, (2) air dryers and chemical feed pumps and compression tanks.
