Credo Trading W.L.L., May 2013 to date - Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities and Experience Overview:
• Leading Accounting team (comprising 5 people; with 3 direct reports) of a significant Department in the company reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
• Managing the department reporting process under IFRS, ensuring financial and management reporting deadlines are met:

 Management of monthly management accounts process - I reduced the reporting timelines from 15 working days to 6 working days
 Liaising with the company’s billing team on a regular basis ensuring that all revenue transactions are accurately recorded.
• Liaising with the Head Office ensuring all queries relating to the monthly/quarterly reporting package (including the results of the entire European business) are dealt with.
• Liaising with external auditors during quarterly audit review and year end audit.
• Overseeing the company’s billing and debtor collection cycle. This involved preparation of credit assessment reports and recommendations on credit limits and payment terms.
• Ensuring the company’s policies, procedures and controls follow International regulations.
• Implementation of SAP B1 ERP system, training employees to work in SAP, and facilitate the transition from old system to SAP B1
Payroll Duties:
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Resolved months of backlogged work, restored order and organization to processes/records in disarray, researched and solved billing problems and corrected invoicing and journal entry errors that had previously been missed.
• Operated financial computer systems and furnished senior company executives with A/P liability summaries and cash flow reports that were consistently praised for their accuracy, user-friendliness and timeliness.
• Handled the processing, distribution, accuracy verification and maintenance of invoices, interfacing extensively with a nationwide network of vendors and suppliers.

• Preparation of Bank guarantee
• Preparation of customer’s Age analysis, collection of payments.

• Cash, Credit, Stock control etc.
• Staff pay-roll, settlements etc.
• Reconciliation for Banks, Customers & Vendors Statements.
• Checking cash drawer & following cash machine
• Rolling Logistics Process (Shipment orders- Clearing and stores)
• Prepare shipment reports to senior management
