Pharmacist I/Clinical Research Assistant

February 2003 - May 2010

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

February 2003 - May 2010

I worked as a resource member for the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Besides, I was able to successfuly develop several applications:
•Developed an application to the Animal Facility of the Research Centre at KFSH&RC. The application enables users to log approved research projects, approved animals’ species, &number of animals approved, and log animals used and type of euthanasia. The Database also enables users to generate reports for both statistics and compliance purposes
•Suggested an online research proposal submission application, analyzed the requirements and designed its User Interface
•Developed an application that automatically extracts agenda items from the main database of ORA for the regular biweekly meetings of the IRB. Also, it serves for following up committees’ business, and summarizing committees’ motions
•Enhanced ORA procedure by reducing the number of drafted memos through a new application that issues automatic reminders for due reports. As a second phase of that project, I developed another application to issue automatic reminders for committees’ concerns
•Enhanced and updated the current Research Proposals and Projects Database of the ORA and supported it with an additional application to track incomings and outgoings
•Developed an application for the Scientific Information Office at KFSH&RC that tracks incoming orders and requests, monitors inventory, and issue bills
•Designed an application that generate reports of research related activities of various departments during various periods, which used to consume an employee’s full week of time is now just a click-away with this application
