PhD Candidate
I have obtained a PhD degree in International health Health from Copenhagen University in May 10, 2005. The work presented in my thesis resulted from the Sudanese-Danish collaborative study on international health which is Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (RUF/DANIDA) financed project. The field work was performed in Sudan. The PhD study was aimed at assessing humanitarian aid made available for internally displaced people (IDP) in Sudan by evaluating the preventive and curative health facilities, the health situation and living condition of population in Elsalam camp, Omdurman, Sudan with particular reference to child health. Various departments were participated in this study of these are: Department of International Health, Institute of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark; Institute of Endemic Diseases, University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan and Department of Pediatrics, Copenhagen University Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark.

Over this period I rotated in various teaching hospitals departments namely: Obstetric and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Urology, Cardiology and Renal Dialysis Unit. The main duties were management of cold and emergency cases of communicable and non-communicable diseases. I passed this period successfully and obtained full registration from Sudanese Medical Council.
