Reporting Lines • Executive General Manger • Banking Control Commission of Lebanon (Regulator of Lebanese Banks) Department's Responsibilities • Take share in articulating the Bank's policy for "The Principles of Banking and Financial Operations". • Update the Business code of ethics in the institution and monitor its implementation. • Set a plan on how the business personnel shall deal with the Bank's customers and provide fair dealing. • Participate in preparing "Key Facts Statement" for each products or Service. • Develop customer complaint procedure to make sure that solutions and replies are made in timely manner preserving the institution's reputation and protecting the customer’s rights. • Receive customers’ complaints, communicate them with the related parties, analyze them and give opinion regarding the solution, and communicate the final solution to the client. • Propose and assist in training programs for the Bank's personnel on promoting and conducting fair business with the clients. • Conducting periodic reporting to the General Manger and proposing actions to improve transparency levels and securing fair business with the clients. • Report and take approval on the above proposals from the Broad of Directors • Prepare quarterly reporting about customers’ complaints and level of transparency to the Regulatory bodies

Responsibilities
• Develop and update the Risk Management Policy of the Bank including credit, market and operational risk functions.
• Develop, update and implement the division’s policies and procedures
• Ensure appropriate training and guidance for subordinates
• Assist Senior Management to propose the limits of risk tolerance/risk appetite to the Board of Directors.
• Developing and implementing a risk measurement system
• Ensure the risk controls are capable of early detection of major risks and propose effective resolution or mitigation.
• Ensure implementation of credit risks ratings in compliance with the Central Bank directives and risk criteria.
• Ensure the existence of process to review and evaluate all risks associated with the new products and activities before launching and during implementation
• Participate in the annual budget exercise and the setting of business plan to make sure that risk targets are taken into consideration and that risk appetite and tolerances limits are properly imbedded.

Credit Administration Activities
- Develop & update section's policies & procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and custody for the Bank's credits and the related collateral.
- Secure proper information through the information bureaus, communicating with other banks, and other sources and communicate these information timely to the related parties.
- Review CDR & MIS reports and recommend modifications/improvement.
- Prepare data related to outstanding credits and report them to CDR.
- Review and prepare clearance letters for the Bank's debtors.
- Prepare for the Credit Committee meetings and maintain the minutes if meeting and make sure of proposer
implementation.
- Setup and maintain on the Bank system the approved credit limits and other related terms and condition
- Assess quality service of investigation provider and suggest the renewal of service contracts.
- Monitor and follow up with the concerned relationship officers: • Expired facilities and not renewed.
• Facilities that will be expiring within 1 - 3 months.
• Overdue and unpaid amounts.
• Letter of Guarantees matured not renewed or not retrieved.
• Letter of Credits matured not paid.
Senior Credit Analyst 5/2004- 12/2006
- Analyze credits proposed by Credit Officers for new and existing Corporate, SMEs and Retail
clients.
- Perform a SWOT analysis, highlighting risks and discrepancies in the proposed credits; propose
additional collaterals and conditions if necessary before presenting them to the appropriate
approving authority.
- Undertake periodic and independent review on existing credits by reviewing facilities utilization,
status of the credits filing and documentation (legal documentation, collaterals, guarantees, etc.),
account performance analysis, investigating potential deterioration signals in order to reach into an accurate risk classification for the credit portfolio items.
- Undertake an annual case by case review on non-performing loans in coordination with the
Recovery Department, perceiving the latest credit status and the progress realized since the previous review, reaching a new risk classification and proposing the required provisions to cover the Bank's expected losses from the loan.
- Preparing periodic report on the entire credit portfolio of the bank highlighting its overall evolution and analyzing changes of structure and its different components; i.e. performing trend analysis of the portfolio and the percentage of each product (personal loan, corporate and SMEs portfolios)

- Prepare credit packages, Corporate, SME and Retail clients including, but not limited to, financial
spreadsheets and analysis, full due diligence and credit worthiness assessment.
- Challenge relationship officers regarding their proposals of the credits and the related conditions or provided securities i.e. facilities types, limits, pricing, repayment terms, potential collaterals or any
other conditions, etc.
- Take the initiative to react and investigate in coordination with the responsible account officer upon any changes in the customer's profile, or market conditions or any relevant information.
- Conduct timely annual and semi-annual review for renewals or reassessment.
- Ensure that all administration associated with the portfolio is done accurately.
- Follow up with the accounts officers to undertake regular inspection of assets and documents
which represent security for the bank.
- Coordinate with Legal Affairs Unit for the preparation of documentation when necessary.
- Prepare credit packages of Corporate, SME and Retail credits including, but not limited to, financial spread sheets and analysis, full due diligence and credit worthiness assessment.
