✓ Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism taking into account the consideration that all customers have an urgent requirement and are looking for instant and immediate action.

✓ Communicates with patients and referral sources both verbally and in writing to ensure patient questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
✓ Coordinates all patient information, processes paperwork, including preparation of file for Billing &insurance Department, and completes batch reports.
✓ Complies with all applicable Hospital policies and procedures to meet Hospitality standards
✓ Processes paperwork, inputs new patient set-ups, and assembles charts
✓ Verifies Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage information
✓ Provides service for all retail/walk-in equipment requests
✓ Handle VIP members and at some incidents.
o Medical Translator &interpreter:
✓ Present in the exam room with the patient, discussing sensitive or personal issues, as well as be able to understand and present information of a scientific or medical terminology nature.
✓ Help the physician understand the history and physical information from the patient, as well as the symptoms and reason for the patient's visit.
✓ Additionally, translates the physician's questions and answers for the patient to understand and respond when necessary.
✓ Assist the physician or nurse as a medical assistant would, taking vital signs, updating the patients' medical record, and other minor clinical or administrative duties, but the main focus is the communication.
✓ Answers phone calls from unknown outside non-English speaking callers and triages and orients the caller for proper assistance inside the hospital.
✓ Arranges interpretation for all languages for patients and families through language bank volunteers, phone interpretation, outside agencies, interns, including sign language services.
✓ Assesses patient's/family's comprehension of "informed consent" as needed. Advises physician/patient care staff of any need for clarification.
✓ Conducts in-services and consultations relating to medical interpretation/ translation, health cultural practice or pertinent issues with medical and healthcare staff personnel, and appropriate hospital departments or committees.
✓ Cooperates maintaining the quality of service by being flexible in providing coverage for vacation, sick leave, and emergencies.
✓ Ensures access to hospital resources for non-English speaking patients and their families.
✓ Makes notations in the patient's chart indicating the origin of the request for interpretation or translation, the nature of the service provided (such as interpreting treatment orders or pharmacy instructions), and an assessment of the patient's understanding and level of acceptance of the information.
✓ Must possess high verbal and written skills in both English and the appropriate language.
✓ Performs medical interpretation/translation for patients and their families, including in-group setting, such as family conferences.
✓ Suggests referrals to medical staff, clinical social workers, patient relation, staff, chaplains, and ancillary staff for patients and/or families who could benefit from their assistance.
✓ Translates correspondence, medical histories, medical consent forms, medical procedures and instructions, legal documents, manuals, brochures and other pertinent documents as necessary.
