• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental
(HSE) procedures.
• Provide first line contact with project managers, class
surveyors, client team and vendors to ensure all
commissioning requirements are meeting class and project
specifications and are in line with Company procedures.
• Ensure that all the testing equipment is calibrated and all
required tools and equipment are available at site.
• Attend factory acceptance tests as and when required.
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers, onsite and offsite
commissioning engineers for information exchange and
trouble shooting.
• Carrying out mechanical completion & pre-commissioning
checks such as cable/motor meggering, loop check,
bolt/busbar torqueing, etc… as required by the work scope
on systems/sub-systems as per manufacturers, certifying
authorities and HSE requirements.
• Carrying out commissioning and documenting of mechanical
and/or electrical parameters of systems such as recording
current, voltage, phase sequence, temperatures, vibration,
pressure, air flow, etc… of equipment whilst in operation.
• Aiding in the writing of commissioning procedures for
various sub-systems.
• The operation of the lock out / tag out (energisation /
isolation) procedure prepared by safety.
• Compilation of commissioning dossiers as per the scope of
work.
• Leading a team of QC Inspectors to ensure QC activities
are carried out in a timely & professional manner.
• Managing Quality Control aspects of different projects.
• Liaising with client as well as third party representatives to
make sure that clients’ requirements and expectations
pertaining to quality control are met.
• Preparation of Inspection & Test Plans ITP’s in view of
Contract Conditions, Project Specifications as well as
International Rules & Standards.
• Vendor Document Review (Vendor ITP, Drawings, FAT &
SAT procedures, etc.)
• Preparation of final documentation and compilation of the
QC Dossier.
• Supervision of various electrical & instrumentation
construction activities.
• Supervision of installation of cable trays and supports.
• Witnessed power, control as well as instrument cable
insulation & continuity tests.
• Supervision of cable laying, cable glanding and termination
for LV generators, motors, transformers & MCC panels.

• Installation inspection of SCR & MCC panels, distribution
boards, as well as junction boxes.
• Supervision of the torque testing performed on the MCC
panels, motors, generators, etc….
• Supervision of the loop checking of different types of
transmitters & detectors such as Fire &Gas detectors,
Pressure transmitters, Temperature transmitters, Pressure
transmitters, etc…
• Involved in the testing of different types
of motors, Fire & Gas system, DCS
system as well as ESD system.
• Leading a team of QC Inspectors to ensure QC activities
are carried out in a timely & professional manner.
•Managing Quality Control aspects of different projects.
