- Develop new or improved methods or products for controlling or eliminating weeds, crop diseases, or insect pests.
- Study insect distribution or habitat and recommend methods to prevent importation or spread of injurious species.

- Communicate main understandings related to: key food security & Nutrition security issues, innovations related to food security, and awareness of sub areas like agri-tech, urban agriculture, climate resiliency.
- Assess training needs leading to the elaboration of the training curricula and training materials.
- Supervise and manage the project’s team, participate in the recruiting process, train and supervise the team members and ensure technical support to the team members in the implementation of the activities.
- Reporting, including activity progress, quality plan implementation, field updates and needs, report over the achieved activities and provides analysis over the performed activities and signal bottlenecks.
