As a Senior System Engineer, I specialize in managing Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) platforms alongside enterprise Linux (RHEL) infrastructure within the banking sector. I am responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of OpenShift clusters across bare-metal and virtual environments.
Additionally, I manage RHEL-based systems, including patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, ensuring a secure and stable infrastructure.

- Engineered and maintained OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x clusters on bare-metal and virtualized environments within a banking context, ensuring high availability, strict security, and optimal performance for critical applications.
- Deployed and managed OpenShift Service Mesh (Istio), configuring advanced traffic management, secure communication (mTLS), and comprehensive observability for microservices within the banking application landscape.
- Implemented and administered OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for robust, software-defined persistent storage, ensuring data resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery capabilities for critical banking data.
- Advanced Observability: Configuring Kiali, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana to provide deep visibility into system performance and distributed tracing.
- Security & Governance: Deploying ACS for threat detection, ACM for multi-cluster management, and OADP for reliable backups and disaster recovery.
- Integrated OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD, Jenkins, and GitLab CI, automating application for easy deployment.
- Implemented and configured Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP).Configured and tuned JVM parameters, connection pools, and heap sizes for JBoss instances, achieving optimal application performance and resource utilization. Configure JBoss clusters with mod_cluster and external load balancers, providing high availability and load balancing for mission-critical applications.

Managing RedHat Linux Distribution, Support Monthly Patching & Upgrades of business-critical workloads in a Zero to Minimized Downtime window.

• Managing Linux-based systems, mostly RedHat addressing and troubleshooting P1-P4 level issues of business-critical workloads by achieving SLA goals & KPIs.

• Working closely with various Banking vendors within the business operations and other stakeholders to determine planning, implementation and integration of system-oriented projects by facilitating highly available & secured Linux systems.

• Managing and Administrating Redhat satellite solution which is use to provide software update from RedHat Network in order apply patches to the RHEL systems.

• Managing and troubleshooting user management solution called RedHat IDM which provides user’s access to server by configuring HBAC rules and assigning specific commands with sudo rules.

• Designed and implemented system security and data assurance by applying server hardening security compliance, VAPT Scanning, Anti-Virus, SIEM and final clearance from Internal Security Division.

• Design and Deploy Server Hardening using Security Compliance such as (CIS) over heterogeneous environmental of the business customers. Applying bug fix, patches and on-going scored vulnerabilities using Red Hat CVE Database and Tenable-Nessus Vulnerability Scanner as a final clearance from Internal Security Division.

• Knowledge of backup solutions like Veeam, Commvault for Backup VM, restore VM, restore files.

• Configuration and management of Exadata Oracle Engineered System based on Oracle operating System.

• Ansible automation for installing and applying fixes, deploy desired configuration across multiple systems, and ensure compliance

• Administration of VMware vSphere such as VM creation, migration, cloning and Datastore mapping

I’m involved in executing task like installation of the Linux servers and clients. Install and maintain all server hardware and software systems and administer all server performance and ensure availability for same . Taken part in regional projects and security hardening ( Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon ).
And also involved in managing the virtualized infrastructure build on VMware environment. Creating and configuring the VM’s as per requirement and needs. Working on vCenter server for adding/removing VM’s or configuring high availability, Fault Tolerance, NTP settings etc. Implementing and configuring vMotion and Storage vMotion. Creating and managing VLAN port groups using VMware vSwitch technology. Configuring different type of Port Groups Policies, load balancing, Failover detection, Hard and Soft zoning and VLAN Tagging. Daily responsibilities include maintenance of virtual machines for any performance issues. Installing patches and updates on ESXi hosts and virtual machines through VMware Update Manager.

Resolving the client issues related to Windows Xp, Intranet, Backup etc. Maintaining the backup server of Windows 2003 and performing daily activity of the backup. Handling the clients applications like Case-ware and all usefull application of the client. To maintain all the PC's to provide better performance to give speed-up to user works. Providing full time connectivity with the server to all the hundred users to run the intranet properly. Giving timely maintainance to all the hardware such as printers, Server, Switches etc. Solving the problems either telephonic or visit to client site. Configuring wireless printer on all the users computer to give printing from anywhere on the network.

Project is aimed at implementing servers with Microsoft Windows 2003. Configuring NLB (Network Load Balance) in all the servers for maintaining Network Loads, installing HBA (Host Bus Adapter) Cards, Riser Cards, Deploying various applications on application servers as well as to maintain them, Day to strategy of taking backups of both Database Servers with the HP EVA 4400 Storage Management. Monitoring
& optimizing the performance of the all servers. Basic Troubleshooting of L2, L3 Switches and SAN Devices as well as other networks problems of User end Pc’s.
