The role of the Field Supervisor (FS) is to improve the target populations’ linkages to available reproductive health services, to act as a link between communities and primary health services, and follow up on specific health concerns for women of reproductive age and children under five. The FS will conduct home visits, along with community health workers (CHWs) to deliver and promote maternal and child health messages and make referrals for reproductive, maternal neonatal, and child health (RMNCH) services when needed to influence behavior change through communication, health education and promotion. In addition, the FS will be responsible to guide CHWs’ in the field, provide coaching, and feedback on performance.
The role of the CHW is to conduct home visits designed to deliver and promote maternal and child health and (where appropriate) make referrals /direct clients for reproductive, maternal neonatal, and child health (RMNCH) services, including providing clients with vouchers for relevant services if warranted. The aim is to improve health outcomes for women of reproductive age and children under five, including Syrian refugees living in Jordanian communities, and to influence behavior change through communication, health education and promotion.
Monitoring and evaluation team (M&E)
• Prepare a schedule for volunteers according to geographical areas (Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, Mafraq).
• Evaluating the volunteers in the field through home visits.
• Periodical training to improve their skills in the field work.
• Train volunteers on ODK system for entering collected data.
