Responsible for all activities associated with the preparation and periodic progress reporting of Level 1 and Level 2 schedules
Support the project teams with all planning-related responsibilities associated with the management of their contracts and reporting requirements
Participates and supports the project teams in project and programme planning and progress meetings
Identifies and maintains programme/project milestones and schedules interface activities
Main Challenges
Support the planning and scheduling processes that are required to manage contracts and contractor schedules
Support the progress and reporting of the programme requirements
Maintains up-to-date and accurate schedule interface requirements
Adherence to NEC contract processes for management of schedule data and submissions
Maintain an awareness of commitments and undertakings and support efforts to manage the requirements to avoid a breach.

Planning Engineer
Job Purpose and Scope:
operate a planning system by the planning procedures. Also, undertake the planning function on multiple live projects ensuring the production teams are delivering the project time objectives. Additionally, liaise with the broader planning community, especially the technical department. Whilst ensuring compliance with all Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Contributing to the capturing of project risks and proposing mitigating actions.
Communicating with other disciplines within production teams to ensure they are aware of their roles in meeting the programme.
Meeting/ communicating with supply chain specialists to confirm suitable methods and programmes for scope given project-specific constraints.
monitoring and reporting progress against programmes, and suggesting mitigation actions were appropriate.
Manage time and workload to ensure deadlines are met. Highlight any potential work overload to Line Manager.
Develop project objectives/scopes of work by reviewing different proposals and plans
from different agencies.
• Prepare a Detailed Project Report by studying/surveying existing properties of soils &
different structures, designing new proposals, etc.
• Prepare project specifications based on engineering codes & standards.
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Team member for preparation of bids & contract documents.
• Confer/liaison with/between Management, Senior Engineers, Contractors, etc.
• Prepare project schedule by studying project scopes and specifications; calculating time
requirements; sequence project elements.
• Maintain project schedule by monitoring actual progress; coordinate and plan day-to-day
activities with/between supervisors and contractors; resolve problems.
• Control project plan by reviewing actual progress and schedule changes; recommend
remedial actions whenever needed.
• Review/recommend other proposals/ approve site design changes.
• Co-ordinate all supervisors, contractors, and all other participants of projects
for/between different discipline works/activities.
• Supervise the responsibilities of all project participants to meet satisfactory requirements
of project objectives.
• Oversee quality control/assurance of construction materials and works/activities to
meet all technical accuracy of contract and standards.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
and trends; recommend actions.
• Update/properly maintain project database and record.
• Participate in progress analysis meetings.
• Co-ordinate/liaison between different Government Organizations/Departments to get
approval for those works/activities which are intercepting each other.
• Issue work permits.
• Review & Issue the invoices/bills of contractors.
• Review & issue site design changes and as-built documents.
• Prepare various MIS reports.
• Ensured that all site operations were carried out in a safe, productive manner.
• Prepared project timelines and made projection adjustments as necessary.
