My role in the Department of ORL is to attend outpatient clinics, perform surgeries and take care of in-patients both pre-operative and post-operative. I am also responsible for examining patients who come to the ER and give them the proper management for their cases. I participate in the teaching of the rotating residents of the Saudi Board Program as well as the residents of the Security Forces Hospital.
Take care of the otolaryngology patients whether in OPD or inpatient as well as performing different types of surgeries. I have special interest in endoscopic nasal and paranasal sinus surgery as well as microscopic ear surgery. I also have good experience in microlaryngeal procedures. Similarly I have a good experience in surgical procedures for the neck.

● As a Senior House Officer and ENT Registrar, I had my basic clinical
knowledge through attending 2 OPD sessions per week and ward rounds with my Senior Registrars and Consultants.
● Gained my operative skills by attending weekly Operating Room sessions. I
gained experience in most of the ENT and Head and neck operations
including tonsillectomies, myringotomy and grommet tube insertion, and different types of tympanoplasty.
● Assisted my Consultants in major head and neck operations like total
laryngectomy and total laryngopharyngectomy.
● I continued to gain experince as a registrar and senior registrar to refine my
clinical and operative skills. I have performed some cases of parotidectomy, submandibular sialadenectomy. I also have experience in
most of the nasal operations including endoscopic operations including the use of power instrumentation and navigator.
● I have experience in LASER Surgery in Laryngeal and Pharyngeal Operations.

After finishing my M.B.Bch, I joined a teaching Hospital in Cairo, Egypt which helped me get my Masters Degree in otorhinolaryngology. After this I worked in Saudi Arabia where I studied and got my Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
October 1989 to November 1992: Master degree (M.Sc.) in Oto-Rhino-laryngology, Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University.
October 1980 to December 1986: M.B.Bch, faculty of Medicine, ain Shams University, Cairo.
