JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for building and executing PR and social media strategies and building a strong communications network around the company that will ensure good public image with the general public and raise awareness towards the company and its brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, and messaging and audience identification.
2. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
3. Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
4. Continuously capture and analyze SM KPI's & metrics, and coverage reports.
5. Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
6. Moderate user-generated content and message appropriately, based on company and community policies.
7. Create and implement social media marketing plan and editorial calendar.
8. Develop creative public relations strategies that fit company profile
9. Develop effective PR plans using appropriate strategies and tactics
10. Organize and coordinate PR activities
11. Use a variety of Media channels (TV, press, internet etc.) to maximize company exposure
12. Liaise with marketing professionals to ensure consistency in promoting corporate image
13. Arrange for interviews or public speaking events and construct press releases
14. Advise company on handling sensitive public issues to preserve reputation
15. Assess opportunities for sponsorships and other partnerships and manage relations
16. Analyze results of PR campaigns or efforts and prepare reports.
During my full-time internship with MSL-Leo Burnette (an international PR agency), I used to work with the Planning team, where I used to work directly under the Strategic Planning Manager. My main responsibilities mainly revolved around creating research reports, coverage reports, press releases, linked in articles, opinion pieces, and media list development. The main achievement/skill i belive I gained. however, I was learning how to explore the various activities of our clients and look for strategic placements in the media.
During my full-time internship with Socialize Agency (Digital Advertising agency) I used to work with client servicing. My main responsibilities revolved around online community management, this included caption creation, photo editing, translation (English to Arabic), and social media page management.
