MBA – Thesis: An Insight of Islamic Banking The study analyzes the Islamic Banking in theory and its practice in United Kingdom. Today Islamic banks are successfully operating in different parts of the world and even conventional banks have start offering the Islamic financial products. I have given a brief overview of what Islamic Banking is, what are the bases of Islamic Banking and why there is need of Islamic Banking. In my study I have explained in detail the different Islamic modes of financing which replaced the interest based conventional mechanisms The study covered the Sharia’h, the sources of Sharia’h, Islamic economic system, prohibition of Riba. It also includes the various financial products offered by Islamic Banks, the challenges faced by Islamic banks and how Islamic Banks differ from conventional banks.
