• Prepare safety plan for road construction activities so as to minimize disturbance to the existing road ways & surrounding communities.
• On a regular basis, measure the project safety performance in regards to safety culture among workers, training hours, incident and near miss records, injuries response and statistics and corrective actions implementation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly safety status report to Safety and project managers addressing advice, events, weaknesses and improvement.
• Prepare safety plans required for new projects.
• Leading team of 8 safety officers distributed into construction sites for continuous safety supervision.
• Assure implementation of projects HSE plans, Company rules and regulations, in field and in camp.
• Identify hazards or poor work practices and take corrective action(s).
• Implement and assist in HSE meetings and toolbox talks
• Perform drills and safe work instructions/advice.
• Record and report on incidents according to Company requirements.
• Follow-up corrective actions after incidents/accidents.
• Perform safety audits and recommend remedial actions.
• Verify that workplace satisfies health, safety and welfare requirements.
