• Provide expert technical advice on the establishment and maintenance of a robust and scalable ICT architecture that will assist ICT strategies, products and enhancements within Shared Services and its clients.
• Exercise responsibility for the coordination of significant projects and programs of work associated with the effective development, delivery and maintenance of ICT services within Shared Services.
• Coordinate the identification and resolution of complex ICT troubleshooting activities to ensure appropriate technical support exists for the continuation of essential Shared Services in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
• Apply expert technical knowledge and expertise to contribute to the development of ICT policies, procedures and the formulation of a robust and scalable ICT Architecture for the shared services organization, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and legislative requirements.
• Contribute to the planning and achievement of Shared Services objectives, goals and priorities, through the application of extensive ICT knowledge, expertise and experience
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
• Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines

• Develops, prepares and recommends budget for purchasing, upgrading and maintaining multi- user computer systems, system personnel salary equity adjustment and/or merit raise and professional on the job training.
To plan, organize, lead, and manage the staff and overall operations of the Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure either personally or through subordinate staff in the following functional areas: network infrastructure; server infrastructure; data communications, telecommunications system, and other related services.
Principal Accountability
- Manages and sets priorities for the proper maintenance, design, development, and evaluation of infrastructure systems such as LAN, WAN, Internet, Intranet, data communication systems, and other related security systems.
- Reviews and conducts feasibility studies, evaluates, and plans for various infrastructure upgrade projects, oversees conversions, migrations, implementation strategies.
- Oversees the maintenance of new and existing equipment, determines hardware and software needs, and maintains appropriate inventory of equipment.
- Prepares RFP and evaluates bid proposals and specifications for infrastructure projects; prepares contracts, project plans, scope of work, status and summary reports and correspondence.
- To ensure that ongoing technical support and user training for business applications is provided
- To ensure that identified users receive appropriately sized and configured desktop equipment and that the service delivered to the desktop is in line with agreed services commitments.
- To ensure that the in-country wide area and associated local area networks in place are suitable for services being provided and are performing in line with agreed service commitments.
- To ensure that Service Level Agreement for all services provided by the IT department to the business are prepared and in place.
- To ensure that all IT service and equipment vendors, both within and external to the organization are managed appropriately and that service commitments are being met.

The successful migration for DHL head office, ground operations & air operations from three different locations to a new huge facility at the airport site ( 6000 sqm ), which consist of moving more than 200 employees at the new location that been designed & prepared with the latest IT infrastructure technology including services, systems, communications, hardware and an enhanced IT security system that coupe with the future needs of the company and at the same time considered to be the foundation of a new ERA to the Information System in Egypt.
Purpose (Information Security)
To ensure that the organization's information assets are protected in line with guidelines determined locally, regionally or globally, additionally, provide support to ensure the organization’s information assets, both regionally and globally, are not compromised and protected from any threats of virus infections, intruders, corruption or hacking.
Purpose (e-Business)
To increase e-Business awareness and uptake throughout all functions and levels within the organization & to deliver prioritized e-Business solutions that are clearly and easily managed and that have quantifiable benefits.
Manage the development and execution of the plan, for the deployment of e-Business tools to customers within the country in order to reach country targets in line with Regional strategy, eg, percentage of electronic transactions, and percentage of customers equipped with e-Business tools.
Ensure the right tools are made available to the right customers and, where appropriate, accompany the Account Managers on customer visits to present and recommend optimal solutions for their requirements.
Identify opportunities for further deployment and increased usage of e-Business tools within the customer base and take the necessary actions to fulfill these through appropriate Customer Service and Sales channel activity.
Ensure the smooth functioning of all the ongoing processes needed to maintain effective use of e-Business tools, eg, Electronic Service Database updates, database maintenance, customer data quality, software upgrade distribution, customer re-training via the Customer Support Executives, etc.
Identify common faults, enhancement requirements and new business needs for e-Business tools and ensure that these are raised to and progressed by e-Business Development. Where required, organize and participate in testing of solutions for these requirements.
Provide first line end user support to all the IT operations within the country
Administrating all aspects of data communication and networking, interact with end user at all levels to provide support, training and guidance as appropriate.
Participating in the Y2K project as a PC Hardware & Software Upgrade Project Manager.
Managing and supporting all the e-Business products within the Country & the Levant Area.

Responsible of monitoring and maintaining the levels of the INFORMIX database storage. Should these levels becomes inconsistent with the required level the System administrator will immediately inform the Central I.T technical support.

Ensuring all client user are fully trained in the use of the equipment installed to enable them to gain the most effective use of the automation system.
