Barista Cum Outlet In-charge at French Bakery Coffee Shop- Dubai
•Set up or restock product displays.
•Demonstrate the use of retail equipment, such as espresso machines.
•Making and serving hot and cold beverages including coffee and espresso drinks
•Basic food preparation and service
•Experience making coffee and espresso drinks
•Welcoming customers and helping them to determine their coffee interests
• Responsible for the quality of services provided to all customers.
•Maintains service standard, hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
•Take full responsibility for the effective operation of the bars.
•Prepare a wide variety of coffees, teas and other drinks of the highest standard, following prescribed new recipes and presentation techniques to ensure consistent quality.
•Checks & ensures that the required raw material & ingredients are available for the smooth operation of the bar.
•Checks & ensures that the quality of the coffee beans & any other ingredient is within the standards required
•Ensures that the equipment is maintained at optimum levels by calibrating the equipment & testing. If required draw attention of the
Key results Areas:
•Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
•Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
•Aid customers in locating merchandise.
•Communicate customer requests to management.
•Assist in completing price changes within the department.
•Participate in year-end inventory and cycle counts.
•Assist in ringing up sales at registers and/or bagging merchandise.
•Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.
Key Result Areas:
•Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
•Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
•Inform customers about the day’s specials
•Offer menu recommendations upon request
•Up-sell additional products when appropriate
•Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization
•Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
•Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
•Serve food and drink orders
•Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
•Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
•Deliver checks and collect bill payments
•Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
•Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
•Follow all relevant health department regulations
•Provide excellent customer service to guests
