Responsibilities: CIBW portfolio in the RTB space
• Providing level 1 and 2 support to business users
• Providing support for the UAT, PROD and DEV environments on a Multitude of applications
• Primary focus on SWIFT Support, Meridian and VRISK Applications
• Running and maintaining production of UAT SWIFT SAA and SAG
• SQL Activities: Running SQL Queries for Searching payments within our respected databases. Development of Scripts that generate Reports, files etc.
• UNIX Activities: File Generation, transfers and maintenance, also used Shell Scripts for File generation.
• Produce a variety of feeds and reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. As I am in the payments environment, there is a strong emphasis on rapid recovery times on all issues. All incidents are expected to be resolved within the appropriate time frame, with a minimum impact on production. This is emphasized as to deliver effectively on the weekly / monthly reports within the specified SLA.
• Change Management and incident management: Logging and Assigning all system changes within RTB and Support Units
• Service Management:
- Tear 1 Level Service Management
- Work closely with the Run managers SD Team
- Liaison between business units
- Contribute Establish or refine service delivery processes
- To ensure consistently high service performance and evaluates customer feedback to assist in the development of quality improvement processes.
• Project Management:
- SWIFT - on boarding of new clients and African Banks to our Swift infrastructure.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts and provide input on a business level what the realistic timeframes for deployment are. Also act as a representative from the support side.

- Update Implementation of Swift Net
- Update Swift web platform
- Update Message manager
Key responsibilities & Accountability
Acting as single point of contact between group payments, the change team and technology.
Facilitating, Monitoring and managing of all swift related changes and enhancements from a payments and operations perspective.
Manage the user experience and multi system delivery across Group Payments.
Responsible for gathering business requirements.
Review “AS IS” processes and identifies bottle necks, problem areas and inefficacies.
Drive improvement and opportunities to group payments and operations.
Review high level solutions to achieve Business requirements.
Supporting and driving the communication with relevant departments.
Build strong relationships and a robust reputation for SWIFT internal and external to Barclays ABSA.
Optimize payments flow by utilizing SWIFT effectively.
Define and validate documentation of detailed functional specifications and business system solution specifications.
Work closely with the testing team with all UAT SWIFT related testing.

Review all SWIFT BRD and provide confirmation of signoff.
Overall management of communication and visibility of SWIFT for Group payments and operations.
Define, various stakeholders and preparing, reviewing of ownership outlining roles and responsibilities.
Proactively monitor all progress and status of all initiatives and SWIFT projects.
Ensure that all strategy is aligned with the overall organisational strategy and are within the group payments and operations framework.
Drive the business roadmap for SWIFT and financial messaging in group payments.
Analyzing trends relating to errors, repairs.
Conduct the JAB sessions alongside the change team by coordinating all users, SME’s and support personnel.
Engage with multiple stakeholders across the organisation. To take ownership of implementation process with clients/users.
Contribute and deliver functional specifications non-functional, business requirements, objectives and opportunities.
Collaborating in the planning, decisions and enhancements to existing applications.
Collaborate with the change team to document the entire business process.
Work alongside the IM team for the Exco stakeholders on improving Business Management Systems.
Performing research on implementing new enhancements, competitor and market analysis using SWIFT Watch.

Provide insight into technical architecture of the payments landscape for the team.
Grow the team’s technical knowledge.
Monitor industry, technology, infrastructure, legal and regulatory environment trends and provide updates to the team.
