In this position, I was tasked with preparing technical data to be used in the coming year's Integrated Asset management class, in which senior petroleum engineering students are to prepare a full field production plan. This data included a wide scope of petrophysical and geophysical characteristics of the field that the students would simulate. This was done using statistical methods to ensure a realistic yet unique outcome for each student group. In this role, Petrel was the main simulation software used, and I used it in preparing a comprehensive reservoir model according to my parameters and fine-tuning the model to ensure it puts out reasonable results.
I was assigned to the Reservoir Management Division of the Shaybah field. My responsibilities included analyzing field-wide pressure performance and suggesting remedial measures where it was lacking, compiling comprehensive data acquisition and compliance studies of the field and recommending courses of action in areas found lacking. These assignments were produced as comprehensive technical reports.
In this position, I worked as a peer tutor for students of all classifications in one-on-one English writing sessions. I taught and supervised university level-English language and technical writing classes. To this end, I prepared worksheets, study guides, and presentations for students.
