Responsibilities
•Developed ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 management system.
•Maintain accreditations for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 and ensures periodic audits are scheduled to ensure ongoing compliance.
•Provide training / toolbox talks for employees to continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the organization.
•Provide safety induction training for new joiners.
•Understands and uses personal protective equipment, safe work practices, environmental practices, and teamwork.
•Follow safe operating procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidance applicable to work performed if the work involves hazardous materials.
•Monitors environmental emissions for each area and verify compliance.
•Verify the usage of chemicals as per Sulzer's prohibited substance list.
•Prepare HSE annual training plan and ensures its implementation.
•Established overall emergency response plan.
•Manage maintenance of all lifting equipment (overhead crane, jib crane, slings, shackles, eyebolts).
•Investigate incidents, establishes the causes, and recommends preventive action against a recurrence.
•Prepares monthly reports and makes presentation to senior management.
•Conducts regular safety walks, 5S Gemba walks, safety audits and hazard assessments of work locations, work groups, projects, and individuals at the assigned job location.
•Chairs safety committee meeting monthly to review actions on findings obtained from safety walks.
•Maintained existing fire alarm system (detectors, call points, pull station, fire pump, pipes, fire hose cabinets).
•Monitored civil wok for erection of service center, new packaging area and expansion of offices.
•Monitors contractor compliance with local procedure.
•Carry out emergency drills to ensure employees are aware of emergency scenarios and assembly points.
