I volunteered as the Hall Senior Student at Rhodes University whereby I was responsible for managing a hall of four hundred students under St Mary's hall. I developed a profound love for working with people during this time. I learnt the importance of maintaining professionalism, clear communication and emotional intelligence when leading people. I also learned the importance of being inclusive as Rhodes University is a very diverse and multicultural environment. I also hold a certificate of volunteering as a peer mentor whereby I mentored students in the residence that I resided in. Here,I learnt what it means to lead by example and to have mutual respect for my peers and also to let love be at the forefront of everything I do.
