Main Function/Objective: Thermal Analysis of Corley Envelope and Identify key areas to place more insulation, making Corley
a more energy efficient building and save Arkansas Tech University money on Electric bills.
 Forward Looking Infrared Radiometer (FLIR) was used to obtain thermal images of the building envelope.
 Thermal images were taken during winter season.
 The thermal images were analyzed to determine where the building envelope was losing the most heat.
 Two plans were determined to implement in order to minimize the amount of heat loss in the building.
 Plan A was to add an inch of insulation to the walls and adding an extra 2 inches to any of the problem areas.
 Plan B was to only add an inch on insulation over the problem areas, making it the least costly.
 Simple payback time of various insulations was calculated for each plan.
