➢ As an Operation/Shift Engineer: June '2007 to Nov 2007
• Was key member of Pre-commissioning / Commissioning / Start-up Team of JERP RPL Project & worked as Shift Engineer in CRUDE Operations.
• Involved in verification of Engineering Data, P&ID, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Utility Flow Diagram, Heat and Material Balance and Vendor drawing reviews as a part of JERP commissioning activities
• Inspection, punch list and check list liquidation, internal checking, generate the Flash Back Report of Inspection regarding any violation between BECHTEL and vendor and boxing up of all Columns & vessels in co-ordination with UOP, KOCH, BELLELI and PETROLITE.
• Involved in preparation of Training Module, Induction Module, SOP's, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Manual and Operating Manual.
• Involved in the PSSR Audits on the side of Process Operations.
• Participated in HIRA and HAZOP reviews of the Plant.
• Technical audits of the PFD, P&ID and datasheets of the Equipments and instruments.
• Experience and thorough knowledge of Start up and shut Down of CDU/VDU/Gas recovery
Units.
• Involved in the HAZOP study of the running Unit after major modification of the unit to increase the plant throughput.

• Applauded for efficiently modeling all the DTA Refinery flare models into FLARENET before schedule which eventually saved significant days and several man hours.
• Conversant with interpretation of information from PFD, P&ID, HMB, GA drawing, pressure profile, isometric drawing, plot plan, equipment datasheet and other engineering documents.
• Well versed with refinery operations, design standards and guidelines of UOP and Bechtel.
• Basic understanding of pressure relieving devices (API 520, 521) and refinery flare system.
• Material balance and relief calculations of different units of refinery.
• Test run activities for field survey of pressure gauges, control valve, thermo well with RTD and pyrometer for calculations of pumps, heat-exchangers and control valves.
• Understanding of basic safety requirements e.g. personal protective equipments and first aid.
• Technical Presentations and report writing.
• Completed P&ID HAZOP/HAZID of Crude Distillation units, Saturated Gas Concentration Units and Chemical injection packages with Bechtel, UOP and Engineering service experts.
• Prepared Standard operating procedures, Process Operational manuals, Special equipment manuals and Hazard identification and risk analysis (HIRA) sheets.
• Applauded for handling the Refractory dry out of Heaters which was done in new innovative ideas that saved 5-6 days in the commissioning times.
